Neozapatismo

Neozapatismo atau neozapatisme (terkadang disalahartikan sebagai zapatismo) adalah filsafat dan praktik politik yang dirancang dan digunakan oleh Tentara Pembebasan Nasional Zapatista (alias neozapatistas atau zapatistas) di Meksiko, yang memerintah wilayah luas di Chiapas sejak permulaan konflik Chiapas. Utamanya, ini bukanlah ideologi, seperti yang dijelaskan oleh Komando Umum Pribumi Revolusioner Klandestin Zapatista: "Zapatismo bukan ideologi politik baru atau pengulangan ideologi lama ... Tidak ada resep, garis, strategi, taktik, hukum, aturan, atau slogan universal. Hanya ada satu keinginan: membangun dunia yang lebih baik, yaitu dunia baru."[1]

Lainnya telah mengusulkan konsepsi yang lebih luas dari neozapatismo yang melampaui batas-batas filsafat dan praktik politik. Misalnya Richard Stahler-Sholk, "Sebenarnya, setidaknya ada tiga Zapatismo: Pertama pemberontakan bersenjata ... Kedua, proyek pemerintahan otonom yang dibangun di 'komunitas basis dukungan' ... Ketiga, jaringan solidaritas (nasional dan) internasional yang diilhami oleh ideologi dan diskursus Zapatista."[2]
