Jembatan EMAS atau Jembatan Baturusa 2 adalah salah satu jembatan di perbatasan antara Kabupaten Bangka dengan Kota Pangkalpinang, Kepulauan Bangka Belitung yang menghubungkan antara Desa Air Anyir, Kecamatan Merawang, Kabupaten Bangka dan Kelurahan Air Itam, Kecamatan Bukit Intan, Pangkalpinang, Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, Indonesia. Jembatan EMAS ini melintas muara Sungai Baturusa yang bertemu dengan Laut Tiongkok Selatan yang dialuri kapal laut yang hendak sandar di Pelabuhan Pangkal Balam.

Penamaan

Jembatan EMAS dinamakan demikian mengambil nama Gubernur Kepulauan Bangka Belitung periode 2007-2013 yaitu Eko Maulana Ali Suroso yang disingkat EMAS^[3].

Pembangunan Jembatan ini dimulai pada masa pemerintahan Eko Maulana Ali di tahun 2009. Ketika baru menjabat satu tahun di masa kepemimpinannya yang kedua pada tahun 2013, Eko Maulana Ali meninggal dunia. Penamaan jembatan ini dilakukan untuk menghormati dan mengenang beliau.

Lokasi

Lokasi Jembatan EMAS ini adalah tepat diatas aliran Muara Sungai Baturusa yang bertemu dengan Laut Tiongkok Selatan, tepatnya di perbatasan antara Kabupaten Bangka dengan Kota Pangkal Pinang.

Jembatan ini menjadi alternatif jalan baru yang menghubungkan antara Kota Pangkal Pinang dan Bandara Depati Amir dengan wilayah Sungai Liat (ibukota Kabupaten Bangka) melalui jalan lintas timur^[4].

Sejarah

Pembangunan jembatan EMAS ini diinisiasi pada masa pemerintahan Gubernur Eko Maulana Ali dengan melibatkan konsultan perencana asal Inggris, pembangunannya kemudian dimulai pada tahun 2009^[5].

Pembangunan jembatan ini ditaksir menghabiskan dana mencapai kurang lebih 400 miliar yang berasal dari APBD Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Penyelesaiannya sempat terhambat oleh lamanya perijinan pemindahan alur kapal dari Kementerian Perhubungan^[6].

Pembangunan jembatan ini rampung pada tahun 2017, dan kemudian diresmikan pada 29 Desember 2017 oleh Presiden Joko Widodo bersama dengan Gubernur Bangka Belitung Erzaldi Rosman Djohan^[7].

Desain

Jembatan Emas ini merupakan jembatan cable stayed dengan sistem bascule, sehingga jembatan dapat diangkat atau diungkit ketika ada kapal tinggi lewat dibawah jembatan dari dan menuju Pelabuhan Pangkal Balam^[8].

Jembatan sistem bascule ini merupakan pertama dan satu-satunya di Indonesia, pasca Jembatan Ampera di Palembang yang bertipe gerak elevasi tidak dapat dinaik turunkan lagi untuk kelancaran arus kapal dibawahnya sejak tahun 1970^[9].

Jembatan ini bisa dibuka dan ditutup dengan posisi ketika dibuka dengan kemiringan hingga mencapai 70 derajat. Pada saat jembatan terbuka terdapat ruang bebas bagi kapal untuk melintas hingga ketinggian 70 meter^[10].

Pariwisata

Selesainya pembangunan jembatan EMAS, membuat lokasi ini menjadi ikon landmark baru wilayah Pangkalpinang dan Bangka Belitung. Hal ini menjadi daya tarik wisatawan yang ingin menikmati keindahan jembatan dari atas ataupun dari pesisir sekitarnya^[11].

Dari atas jembatan, wisatawan dapat menikmati panorama pesisir Laut Tiongkok Selatan, Pantai Kuala, Pelabuhan Pangkal Balam, PLTU Air Anyir dan TPI Ketapang^[12].
