But I have a question concerning date formats. Is there a rule that says it MUST be dmy? I usually mdy as it is usually more easier for me to cite. So, please, correct me if I’ve erred. Reading BeansTalk to the Beans 19:25, 18 February 2022 (UTC)
according to WP:MILFORMAT, "Articles on topics with strong ties to a particular English-speaking country should generally use the date format most commonly used in that nation. For the United States this is (for example) July 4, 1976; for most other English-speaking countries it is 4 July 1976." Hope that helps! Proscribe (talk) 19:42, 18 February 2022 (UTC)

Douglas Leone requestsHi there, Proscribe. I noticed that you made an edit to the Douglas Leone article, namely updating his title to general partner. I'm not sure if you saw that I'd posted a request for exactly this update, plus a few other changes, on the article Talk page? As such, I'm hoping you can take a look at my other suggestions there, as I'm also proposing revisions to the article Infobox (updating his wife's name), Career section (lightly restructuring and updating existing claims), and Personal life section (adding one additional claim). I have a conflict of interest, as I work for Sequoia Capital, so I will not be making any of these edits myself and am instead counting on experienced editors like yourself to review what I've put together. Alas, I posted these requests nearly a month ago and haven't been able to attract any interest. That's why I was so thrilled to see your update and why I'm reaching out now for additional assistance. Working together - new black biographiesDear Proscribe, I've noticed that you've helped me improve my articles on the biographies of anti-colonial activists who are Black British & Caribbean, such as Trevor Carter and Cleston Taylor. Seeing as you share my interest in black history, I was wondering if you would take a closer look at my greatest article, Billy Strachan, which is currently open for peer review (see the top of the talk page) and has been nominated for WP:GA status. I hope to one day help this page achieve the rank of Featured Article, similar to that of Olive Morris. Would you consider contributing to the peer review of Billy Strachan to improve its quality? Also if you would also like to view some of the other biographies of anti-imperialist Caribbean and Black British people, then browse my pages for Charlie Hutchison, Peter Blackman, Dorothy Kuya, and Henry Gunter. Hello, I'm Neveselbert. I noticed that you made one or more edits to an article, Martin Amis, concerning the updates of review statistics, box office numbers, sports statistics, or some other frequently updated data with a fixed web address, but you did not update the
|access-date=
parameter in the citation template. The |access-date=
parameter is the full date when the content pointed to by the URL was last verified to be working and supporting the text being cited in the article. This means that the parameter needs to be updated whenever the content is updated. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hello Proscribe!
- The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.

- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
- Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
- If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.

Links within citations
Special:Diff/1228187081/1228706613 - this is good. My only comment is that it's fine to link New York Times, New Yorker etc.. multiple times, within citations. There is a rule about only linking to something once in the main body of the text, but citations follow their own rules and it's OK and even a good idea to link to the work even if it's already been linked in other citations or the body of the text. -- GreenC 19:11, 12 June 2024 (UTC)

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Hi. Just wanted to let you know that I have amended your recent edit to this article, since you misattributed the Margaret Busby article to The Jewish Quarterly instead of to its actual source in The Jerusalem Quarterly - a rather significant difference! RolandR (talk) 16:57, 29 November 2024 (UTC)

Re: Melvin Edwards
Just wanted to pop in and say a) thank you for the copy-editing support on my additions to the Melvin Edwards article and b) I hope my edits and additions haven't impacted anything you had planned for the article in terms of expansion. You put in a lot of work to get that article up to date and keep it maintained over the years, so I don't want you to feel like I was trying to destroy it/butcher it all. I just got access to quite a few of the key texts on Edwards and figured I'd help make the article as developed as his work/notability requires. Thanks again, hope you're having a good weekend! 19h00s (talk) 16:48, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
- No problem at all - thanks for your helpful edits, 19h00s. Keep up the good work! Proscribe (talk) 17:41, 21 December 2024 (UTC)
- ++ if you have any interest, I could use some help with minor copy-editing and style on the Lynch Fragments article as well.
- Hope you have a happy new year! 19h00s (talk) 18:51, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for your new year greetings, 19h00s. I'll take a look at Lynch Fragments – well done for creating the article. Here's wishing you the very best for 2025! Proscribe (talk) 19:38, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
