Friedrich KellnerI have a website about Friedrich Kellner on the English Wikipedia and on the German Wikipedia. I would like to somehow link one to the other. I tried that on my English page at the bottom, but I believe you felt it was not done correctly. Could you let me know what I should do? I looked at the help pages, but I was unable to discover an answer. I greatly appreciate your help. The diary is an important historical document, and I do want to make these sites as good as they can be. Thanks a lot,(Rskellner 06:14, 1 October 2006 (UTC)) Electoral Palace Mainz and other Mainz stuffHi Symposiarch, I have no problem with others doing my work - the only article that I really had wanted to do was Deutschhaus Mainz, so I could get a link to Republic of Mainz on the Main Page :-) But if you have a list of things that need doing (other than the redlinks in this article) and want to share it, maybe I will find something that I want to translate but haven't thought of yet. Feel free to suggest any Mainz-related article and I'll try my best. By the way, there is some more Main Page coverage for Mainz coming up soon: Georg Forster, my only Featured Article, will be article of the day next Tuesday. Do you have any references that could be added to Electoral Palace Mainz? If yes, please add some, and a referenced article with a nice picture about a building of this importance should easily get a spot on Template:Did you know on the Main Page. Nominations can be made at Template talk:Did you know. If you want, I can nominate the article for you, but without references, it will probably fail unless we can produce a REALLY interesting fact. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 13:02, 14 October 2006 (UTC) You noticed my new little project quickly :-) I hope we can use the project page to coordinate efforts about missing or inadequate articles. Just one thing: The switches in the {{WikiProject Germany}} template are currently case-sensitive, so "start" and "Start" produce different results, and some of the pages you tagged now display incorrectly. Do you think we should have extra importance categories for Mainz alone? It would not be hard to add that to the template. Any comments are welcome at WT:GER and the talk page of WP:GER/MZ. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 18:59, 23 November 2006 (UTC)

Blnguyen (bananabucket) 00:08, 19 December 2006 (UTC) Mainz Cathedral GA nom failedThanks for nominating the article. As far as I can tell, the prose is excellent, and everything else is great, except for one thing...inline citations. The GA guidelines state that articles must be referenced using an acceptable style of inline citation (criteria 2b), and, unfortunately, the article at this time has no inline citations whatsoever, which means I cannot pass the article for GA status at this time. I realize that a lot of this was translated from German, but apparantly you live in Mainz and speak German. Perhaps you could get the books that were used as sources out of a local library and then use Template:Cite book for all the facts in the article? Just a suggestion. Gutes Glück (hopefully I translated that right) and happy editing, Green451 02:46, 16 December 2006 (UTC) Welcome to WikiWineWelcome to the Wikipedia wine project. DYK!Thanks for your contributions! Nishkid64 17:17, 13 January 2007 (UTC) Palatinate of the RhineHi there, I noticed you recently added Palatinate of the Rhine to the WineProject. I am not sure I agree with your decision. I agree with you that the Rhine valley is a very important wine growing region. Since you are from Mainz I am sure that you are well aware of this fact. My objection is that the article has to do with a historic political entity that no longer exists. Es gibt einfach keinen Kurpfalz mehr. Unless you are creating a article about the history of wine making, then it might be relevant, but that should probably be an article of itself. I would suggest you design modern political entities as relevant to wine growing, or focus on regions: Rheinland-Pfalz, Rhine River Vally, Baden-Württemberg, something like that. imars 12:24, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
DYK--Carabinieri 22:41, 2 October 2007 (UTC) Hi Symposiarch, Good to have someone from Mainz aboard! I was considering creating a separate article for the State Electorate of Mainz from the article for the Archbishopric. What do you think? Also, I had changed the predecessor of the Mainz to the Duchy of Franconia because it was from Rhenish Franconia that the ecclesiastical principalities for Mainz, Worms and Speyer came to power. (See [1]) I think this is preferable to having Nothing as a prededessor since the area did have a government before the Archbishopric gained power. Cheers! Port of Mainz--BorgQueen (talk) 16:38, 17 February 2008 (UTC) Mainz addition / Mainz DYKHello Symposiarch, I must say that I am a bit... well, angry is the wrong word - irritated I guess - at two things you did recently. First you place Port of Mainz at DYK, without telling me (I was going to say COMPETING with or CHANGING my own submission, but you actually got in there first, to boot!) so that YOUR hook about the Roman port was accepted instead of MY own hook about the staple rights. I had been planning that hook for a few days, but first wanted to finish the article! Well, you meant well, and it DID end up on DYK - but please ask the creator next time, he may have his own opinions on appropriate hooks and so on! Silvaner & GGHello Symposiarch! Saying that certain grape varieties may be used for Grosses Gewächs in certain Anbaugebiete is not POV, as you indicated in this edit, but rather a fact, since VDP's GG rules specify which varieties may be used in which regions:[2]. However, your edit had the positive effect that I read and added a reference to this document which made me realise that both Franconia and Saale-Unstrut may produce GG Silvaner; the latter was not stated before. mediaman Wikipedia ArticleHello Symposiarch, I am writing in response to your post on the page mediaman regarding the statement that the page is an advertisement. While the page is not intended as an advertisement, the US office of mediaman did make the mistake by entering an article about our company. Nevertheless mediaman would like to maintain our page on Wikipedia, but we would like to better conform to Wiki standards. Like other agencies who have profiles on Wiki, we are an important player in the digital marketing industry, especially in the German market, and have created notable innovations for our clients, such as Mercedes. More importantly, there is also a need for people getting factual information on our company. We have tried to edit the article and remain as neutral as possible regarding information. We believe we have met all the Wikipedia requirements. Would you have any recommendations in order to remove the flag from the article? Would you possibly be willing to edit or create a German version so that it better suits Wiki standards? I greatly appreciate your advice in how to best proceed.PaperCompass (talk) 14:18, 21 September 2009 (UTC)PaperCompass Drais English ArticleHi Symposiarch! ReclassifyingWhat has prevented me from reclassifying is simply that I didn't know that I was supposed to do that. I also have no idea about the rating system. There are simply things that I let others judge. I suppose I also find it a bit conceited to rate my own work. If you think these articles deserve a higher rating, by all means, give them one. I'm still puzzled by the tradition of starting Carnival as early as 11 November rather than at Shrovetide, but here my specific question has to do with this paragraph which doesn't seem to make sense (my emphasis below):
Is "the beginning of January" simply wrong, or is this another special date in the celebration of Carnival? It's all very confusing. Today three DYK: a piece we'll perform on Sunday (in St. Martin, Idstein, in case you want to listen again, rehearsal from 10, service at 11), a violinist we heard in June playing the Berg Concerto (my brother played in the orchestra), and a Youth Orchestra shaped by a conductor who recently died. Almost too much of a good thing. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:16, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
October musicToday is Erntedank in Germany, thanksgiving, and we celebrated our village's 650th anniversary, and had the dress rehearsal for Verdi's Requiem with an interesting band of marimba, piano, horn, bass, timpani and drum, - concert tomorrow, our national holiday, 5pm in case of interest, - same place as last time. Seeing a pic I took on the Main page was also a nice harvest. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:23, 2 October 2022 (UTC) today's DYK: two facts from the two concert of this years Rheingau Musik Festival I liked best, both a cappella singing. If you follow the songs, you see a circus, where I performed singing, and in the end the whole tent joined for Dona nobis pacem. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:38, 19 October 2022 (UTC) who shall separate us --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:13, 22 October 2022 (UTC) ArbCom 2022 Elections voter messageHello!
