Good luck on this journey known as "Wikipedia". I bid you farewell.
Picture Peer Review and Featured Picture CandidatesHi! I've noticed you've been brining up a lot of images on peer review that are featured pictures on commons. Unless you are interested in some advance discussion of encyclopedic value, I think it makes sense to nominate commons FPs directly to featured picture candidates. Picture peer review is a very lonely place, and it is honestly easier to give good, constructive feedback on images that are fairly poor than on good images. Thanks for looking through commons FPs for good images to nominate here, though (I assume you're doing that, as you've nominated so many lately), it is a very good service to do. Featured Picture Candidate: Parthenon RuinsHi M, Apologies for my delayed response; I'd been on a Wikipedia break, so to speak. The image is much better now, and I've considered support, but there remains some work to be done; please see the Candidate page for my comments. Hi Malachirality, Just to let you know that the Featured Picture Image:Parthenon from south.jpg is due to make an appearance as Picture of the Day on March 11, 2008. If you get a chance, you can check and improve the caption at Template:POTD/2008-03-11. howcheng {chat} 01:31, 6 March 2008 (UTC) Awesome jobI approve of your editing job for Society of the Song Dynasty; your slimming down of text and connecting certain sentences together has not obfuscated or sullied any of the original meanings of the statements in the introduction. Thanks; you're actually very good at this!--Pericles of AthensTalk 04:35, 15 November 2007 (UTC) Battle of the Gebora copyeditHi there, I like what you've done with the copyedit so far - I had to make one small change, but I wasn't entirely happy with the original text anyway (the barely an hour bit). I think I see what you're getting at re the switch from Masséna in Portugal to Soult in Spain. I wonder if we can fix that by slightly reordering and rewording the first two paragraphs of Background? Maybe start with the first paragraph having Napoleon sending the dispatches to Soult in Andalusia, ordering him to go to help Masséna, then explaining Masséna's situation (stalled in front of the Lines). Then, second paragraph, go into how Napoleon's orders were based on outdated intelligence, and so Soult decided to go against Badajoz instead. How does that sound to you? Welcome to the League of Copy-Editors!Hi! Just wanted to give you a delayed welcome to the LoCE. I appreciate the work you've done there, and it's obvious that others do, too. Also, as you've seen, the League is woefully understaffed in relation to the requests received. Should you know anyone else who is well-qualified and willing, please recruit them! And again, welcome, and thanks for your efforts! Unimaginative Username (talk) 06:50, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

From what I can tell, only the lead section's gotten a close look, and I've received advice about that. The Plot section has also been helpfully trimmed by another user. Otherwise, I am looking for an expert opinion on the article body -- pretty much the entire of it, as I do plan to nominate it for the FAC process. (I'm working on an interpretations subpage -- not sure if it'll be a section or a stand-alone article.) I'll definitely be around to collaborate and discuss any details about the film. —Erik (talk • contrib) - 19:42, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
CEing Hybrid TheoryHey! Thanks for copy-editing Hybrid Theory! You have made me see further dreams of getting the article up to a respectable position on Wikipedia. (either GA and FA, after the noms of course) And I've taken heed of your advice and I will use it when rewriting other pages that interest me. Thanks and, like you would say: Happy editing! Ancient EgyptSaw your remarks at LoCE Requests. I too have received personal requests to c/e articles, and agree completely with putting them through the LoCE page, not out of OCD :), but because it helps to show the amount of work that the League editors do, and why we're so backlogged. Might as well give the League credit. Also, it will then be posted for proofreading, which doesn't happen if it's not posted at the League. There are few nominations, no new votes, and translations of the week tend to become translations of the months. I was just wondering, b/c SPATRA is something I'm really interested in and it was quite disappointing to see so little activity in the whole translation dept. in general. Meaning, I'll respond what you wrote in correlation to Faramir after I've gone through your review very thoroughly and thoughtfully as I am able and then respond officially on the talk page of that article. I think you have some good points about the organization of sections, but I want to go back and read your comments through carefully after I'm done with the stuff in RL. I just wanted to plead that we were only using Padme Amidala as a model for the organization of the sections. (BTW, could you elaborate on the critical commentary for the pictures part?) LOCE copyeditsHi there, and Happy New Year!! I've come here to beg a favour, I'm afraid - I have two FAC-class articles in the wheels of the LOCE requests system, neither of which will (if left unattended) be touched for weeks. You would be doing me a great personal favour if you could find the time to look over Emma Watson (request) or Wicked (musical) (request) in the near future; I would be enormously grateful if I can face the dreaded "I don't think it meets criterion 1a)" comment knowing that they have a reasonable chance of being looked at before the end of the FAC. Many thanks in advance, Happy‑melon 21:34, 1 January 2008 (UTC) Dartmouth Medical SchoolI see you copy edit reviewed the DMS article. It was up for FA. I wrote some comments. It failed. It failed much sooner than I thought. I thought there would be some time to fix it. After the shock of seeing sudden failure, I offered to help. I see you have already reviewed it. However, it would be good if you could review it later after it incorporate some ideas I have and copy edit those ideas. This article has full of potential so it would be sad to see it lose. I also see that it is a GA nominee. I think it's too soon, but if it can pass GA despite not living up to its potential, that's great! Relata refero (talk) 23:06, 15 March 2008 (UTC) I've edited the article based on your concerns about quotations, date preferences, and periods at the end of captions. However, your larger concerns will take time to remedy. I will add a section shortly on the significance of the work, but as to reorganizing the article on entries rather than theme of "fires" or "floods" or what not, that will take some time, and I'm still a little confused as to why you believe that it sounds more like a "History of Florence" article rather than a demonstration of what the Nuova Cronica entails.--Pericles of AthensTalk 14:50, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

Elizabeth Cady StantonThanks so much for all your various comments on the ECS article. I've finally gotten round to seriously working on it again. I was curious about your comment on it's FA status page regarding the need for "neutral" citations and have added a query to your comment there. I'm wondering if there were particular aspects of the article where you felt using Stanton's autobiography was problematic, or if it was just a general comment. If there are particular areas where it seems to compromise the neutrality of the article, I'd love to know what they are. Part of the problem, of course, is that scholars have relied heavily on Stanton's writings for their own positions, although, when variance has been found, they have certainly cited this. (See, for instance, the section in the Wikipedia article on slave slaves within the Cady household, something Stanton never mentions in her own writings.) SPATRA reactivationHello Malachirality, I notice that you were involved in the project Wikipedia:Spanish Translation of the Week a few years ago. However I also notice that here has been very little activity since 2007. This is a project I'm particularly interested in and would love to see it revived. I've taken the bold step of identifying an article requiring translation and I'm in the process of inviting collaboration. The article History of Puerta del Sol could really use your help. In addition, I'd welcome any ideas you may have to help revive this project so that there is greater collaboration among ES>EN translators on en.Wikipedia. I'm identifying various contributors from whom the SPATRA project may benefit. If you have any recommendations then feel free to contact them directly or submit there usernames to me via my talkpage. I look forward to your participation. Gratefully - EagerToddler39 (talk) 02:19, 22 September 2013 (UTC) Hi, Asian 10,000 Challenge inviteHi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!
