斑蛺蝶屬（學名：Hypolimnas，英文俗名：Eggfly, Diadem）是眼蛺蝶族中的一個屬，當中包含30個物種。廣泛分佈於舊大陸熱帶地區[2]，主要在非洲、東洋界和澳大拉西亞，只有一兩種分佈至古北界和美洲。斑蛺蝶屬的種物是用作研究生態學中各個範疇的論題的典型分類系統，包括擬態、兩性異形、沃爾巴克氏體與共生體學說等[3][4]。本屬有明顯的雌雄異型性。雌蝶常與斑蝶等蝶類有擬態關係[5]。

近年的生物地理學研究指出此分類的基因祖先源於非洲，再在約1300萬年前的中新世中期滅絕年代散佈到亞洲。種系發生學研究發現部份物種不是單系群，原因可能为基因滲入等。本属下分佈於非洲的物種之幼蟲期只會以蕁麻科植物作寄主；本属下之亞洲物種較廣泛攝食爵床科、菊科及錦葵科等植物[6]。

分佈

主要分佈於舊世界熱帶，包括埃塞俄比亞界、東洋界和澳新界，其中一種分布延伸至美洲，疑为人為造成之迁入。在中国大陆、台灣及香港皆記錄了3種。[7]

型態

中至大型蛺蝶。複眼光滑。下唇鬚光滑。雄蝶前足短小、癒合，雌蝶則修長、分節。翅背面底色黑褐色，上常具斑紋，能隨特定光線角度閃現藍紫色金屬光澤。軀體底色黑而上有白色斑點。兩性異形。前後翅中室均封閉，幼蟲體表具棘刺。[5]

擬態

本属下的蝴蝶以贝氏拟态和穆氏拟态（英语：Müllerian mimicry）的形式仿拟自身天敌不喜捕食之有毒蝶类，产生了本属下各物种的型態变异性[8][9]。非洲的物種常以有毒的窗斑蝶屬及珍蝶屬物種作擬態模仿對象，而亞洲種主要以該地域廣泛分佈的金斑蝶作擬態模仿對象[10]。

習性

棲息於森林、林緣、海邊、農園等環境。成蝶有訪花性，也吸食腐果。幼蟲的寄主植物包括[5]：

次級分類

斑蛺蝶屬主要有三個演化支，首兩個只分佈於非洲埃塞俄比亞界，及其主要以蕁麻科植物作寄主；餘下的演化支中，主要分佈東洋界和澳大拉西亞，金斑蛺蝶及幻紫斑蛺蝶更廣泛分佈至歐、非及美洲，幼蟲食較廣。仍有四種演化地位未定，包括H. aubergeri、茶斑蛺蝶（H. chapmani）、H. euploeoides和H. macarthuri。已知種系發生關係如下[6]：
