Working in WikipediaIf you don't have access to a reference, please don't make claims that X is not supported by the reference. If you can't access a source you should ask if someone else has it and could provide it to you. (i got the Houglum book from google books, so you should be able to as well). I have a shitload of work to do and you have wasted my time. Jytdog (talk) 16:46, 2 September 2016 (UTC)
ThatWhat about removing "that"? It is sometimes just extra verbiage and doesn't change the meaning. http://www.dailywritingtips.com/five-words-you-can-cut/ - Example - "Can you remember the time that you reverted changes removing a word?" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikehenke (talk • contribs) 15:56, 9 November 2016 (UTC) Follow up comment to your remarkHi Tronvillain: That ED site certainly contains blatant, over-the-top, absurdly exaggerated statements about people and topics, in an attempt to appear humorous, I suspect. However, certainly on the JzG page, it provides a series of links to real, existing Wikipedia web pages / discussion pages that contain highly profane quotes authored by the admin. I'm sure I'm not mistaking what I'm seeing with my own eyes on Wikipedia discussion pages. So there evidently appears to be absurd falsehoods mixed with sprinkles of truth. You deleted it stating it was an unsupported opinion. But as a traumatic brain injury survivor, I don't understand things all the time. Can you explain what that means to you and why you applied it to my addition. What I read concluded that no equation is accurate enough to calculate the distance to the horizon because there are too many variables. These are what I thought were facts so can you help me understand. OK thank you and have a great day. Ldecarlo36@gmail.com Ldecarlo36 (talk) 10:15, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

Firstly, the strong feeling I'm getting is that you don't want to discuss the chaos magic page anymore, so I'm sorry for messaging you about this. However, I feel I should canvas your opinion, because it was you who put the "fringe theory" tag on the page in the first place. I've spent some time adding some new content to the page, under the "concept and terminology" section, in an attempt to give adequate weight to the mainstream view. I've tried to address this from the historical, theological, anthropological and psychological perspectives, and from the point of view of occultism more generally. Only then have I moved on to discussing the chaos magic viewpoint. Would you mind casting your eye over it and saying whether or not you think the mainstream view is addressed adequately, and -- if so -- whether you think the tag should now be removed? If you do not mind taking a look at a few more,
On that first one, I have been wondering if "Action Games" and "Bumping Games" were two separate releases? I thought I saw an ad somewhere which gave me that idea. BOZ (talk) 17:25, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
If you are interested, I also just started a stub on The Software Exchange. BOZ (talk) 21:02, 20 October 2018 (UTC) Looks like there was an attempt to add a cover to Air Raid (1979 video game), but that turned out to be the image for the similarly-named Air Raid (video game). If you get a chance, could you take a look and see if there is a cover image for the older game with the same name? :) BOZ (talk) 16:23, 1 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for everything! Since you were able to help with the other Creative Computing games well, do you see anything that can be used for Super Invasion — Spacewar? BOZ (talk) 12:36, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for taking a look at that - similar situation with Monster Mash & Battleship (although not sure if there were separate releases for those games), if you can find anything for that. BOZ (talk) 12:29, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
Three more PRODs (hastily following addition of multiple templates) from the "collections are not notable" IP user, this time the Action & Bumping Games that you worked on earlier, as well as Space and Sport Games, and also Space Games-3 which I actually have a second source for, that I plan to add as soon as I get the chance. If you don't see anything more for those, I will probably just handle with merges as well (in fact, it looks like the IP has already done the merge work with a few of them into Creative Computing, so it's not clear why they still want to delete). BOZ (talk) 06:16, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
I just wanted to say, although I brought some articles to you above with problems, as I have been adding reviews to early-80s games and starting little stubs with those same reviews, I have also come across some stuff that I felt was really missing from WP. In particular, for one of my favorite VG publishers from the late 80s and early 90s, I was able to add some good stuff regarding earlier works from SSI. I started The Shattered Alliance, Torpedo Fire, and The Warp Factor for example, and an article for the RapidFire line, so anything you wanted to do on any of those would be much appreciated of course. :) I also note that Computer Conflict is currently unsourced, but most of the games on List of Strategic Simulations games from 1982 and earlier are looking OK. BOZ (talk) 02:56, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
I think you mentioned Phoenix Software recently, and increasing coverage on their games. I did a Google search and found this: http://gue.cgwmuseum.org/galleries/index.php?pub=1&item=0&id=1&key=0 I also noticed that List of Apple II games includes most of the games listed on that page. BOZ (talk) 04:29, 11 December 2018 (UTC)
I see that the French versions of Sorcerer of Claymorgue Castle, Secret Mission both cite a few English sources that you could probably put to work. :) BOZ (talk) 01:25, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
I tried making an article for Klondike Adventure[3], which is apparently a 1982 release by SoftSide's "Adventure of the Month Club", but the article was redirected to SoftSide before long. However, that article does not mention anything about an "Adventure of the Month Club" or the game Klondike Adventure (or, for that matter, Windsloe Mansion which I started at the same time under the same circumstances) so I am a bit mystified. Do you know of any sources that could be used to restore Klondike, and then improve Klondike and Windsloe, and if possible to get something on the Club in the SoftSide article? BOZ (talk) 16:37, 25 December 2018 (UTC)

Hey man, although I have said it before plenty of times, first of all I want to say a huge thank you for everything you have done on the articles I started, and everything else you have done in general for old school video games. :) Rather than keep bugging you about this game or that game, since you have really gotten involved with some and are making great progress on them, I am going to just leave you to work on what you want to your heart's content. I have compiled a list of what I have seen so far from Space Gamer's reviews into this user page: User:BOZ/SGVG. I created between half and 2/3 of those pages, and added notes about the review to the already-existing articles. You have been hard at work on the first two on that list for several days, so I am not about to stop you. :) You can keep going down the list one at a time to work on them as much as you want, or you can skip around and pick up things you want to work on, and you can stop whenever you want and come back whenever you want. I will continue to update this user page whenever I have added new reviews, although I only have maybe a dozen issues or so to go through. You will continue to see my "thanks" whenever you add something to an article that I created. :) BOZ (talk) 21:27, 6 March 2019 (UTC) In case you are interested in those, I started articles on video games based on Fighting Fantasy gamebooks: Seas of Blood, Rebel Planet, and Temple of Terror. BOZ (talk) 15:27, 5 July 2019 (UTC) Hey there! :) If you are interested, I am back at it with retro video games, at least in a small way. :) So far this month I started Planetoids (video game), Master Trader, Cosmic Trader, and Space Ace 21 and I found a review for Meteor Mission II[4] so hopefully more will turn up so the article can be restored at some point. :) BOZ (talk) 17:31, 14 April 2020 (UTC) Hey there! I am back into retro video games in a much bigger way than before, now adding Computer Gaming World reviews to articles. :) Do you have anything that can improve The Battle of Shiloh (video game)? Changes to Bob Readick articleI noticed that you reverted the change of date formats in Bob Readick with the explanation "place of birth does not constitute 'strong national ties' - retain established date but format". I must be missing something, because when I read the article the only "national ties" that I see are American. He was born in the United States. He acted on radio programs in the United States. He also acted in Broadway plays (although your reversion eliminated that addition, along with his role in This Is Nora Drake on radio. If he has "strong national ties" to a country that uses British date formats, shouldn't that connection appear in the article? An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Programma International, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Super Invader (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.) This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow! Spread the holiday cheer by adding {{subst:User:Flaming/MC2008}} to their talk page with a friendly message. I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. If you don't like Christmas or just don't celebrate it in any of its forms, then please accept a generic "Happy Holidays". If you celebrate no holidays at this time of year, then hopefully you will be satisfied with an even more generic "Season's Greetings". :) BOZ (talk) 21:52, 23 December 2019 (UTC) DS AlertThis is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date. You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor. Aman Kumar Goel (Talk) 07:22, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

This might have been months ago - or even years ago. With the best of intentions the project was created years ago, and sadly like many WikiProjects has started to go dormant. A group of us are attempting to revitalize the Skepticism project, already we have begun to clean up the main page and I've just redone the participant page. No one is in charge of this project, it is member directed, which might have been the reason it almost went dormant. We are attempting to bring back conversations on the talk page and have two subprojects as well, in the hopes that it might spark involvement and a way of getting to know each other better. One was created several years ago but is very well organized and a lot of progress was made, Wikipedia:WikiProject Skepticism/Skeptical organisations in Europe. The other I created a couple weeks ago, it is very simple and has a silly name Wikipedia:WikiProject Skepticism/Skepticism Stub Sub-Project Project (SSSPP). This sub-project runs from March 1 to June 1, 2022. We are attempting to rewrite skepticism stubs and add them to this list. As you can see we have already made progress. The reason I'm writing to you now is because we would love to have you come back to the project and become involved, either by working on one of the sub-projects, proposing your own (and managing it), or just hanging out on the talk page getting to know the other editors and maybe donate some of your wisdom to some of the conversations. As I said, no one is in charge, so if you have something in mind you would like to see done, please suggest it on the talk page and hopefully others will agree. Please add the project to your watchlist, update your personal user page showing you are a proud member of WikiProject Skepticism. And DIVE in, this is what the work list looks like [6] frightening at first glance, but we have already started chipping away at it. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Skepticism/Participants page has gone though a giant change - you may want to update your information. And of course if this project no longer interests you, please remove your name from the participant list, we would hate to see you go, but completely understand. Thank you for your time, I hope to edit with you in the future.Sgerbic (talk) 07:35, 17 March 2022 (UTC) Feedback request: Maths, science, and technology request for commentYour feedback is requested at Talk:Sea on a "Maths, science, and technology" request for comment. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
