Welcome
Helloimahumanbeing, you are invited to the Teahouse!
Iowa - largest metro areaHi Helloimahumanbeing, You have been undoing edits I've made to the Iowa page regarding Iowa's largest metro. Can you please explain your reasoning/logic? What is your source? Des Moines may be the largest city in the state of Iowa, but Omaha's metropolitan area, which includes three southwest Iowa counties, is larger than that of Des Moines. This is objective, not subjective. Kansas is an example of the same circumstances, where Wichita is the largest city in the state, but the Kansas City, MO metropolitan area is the largest metropolitan area in Kansas. This is a common occurrence in the United States, where many large metropolitan areas have developed along major rivers that also serve as state boundaries. Singling out the situation in Iowa seems arbitrary. State articles need to be consistent on this issue, and the largest metropolitan area of a state is the largest metropolitan area that incorporates part of that state, as defined by the United States Office of Management and Budget. I have a feeling you're undoing these edits out of a Des Moines vs. Omaha rivalry, not based on objective facts. Thank you, André Le Nôtre (talk) 21:47, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this: Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes) Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history. Edit summary content is visible in: Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Please. Disambiguation link notification for February 1Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sloterdijk (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.) Bold tagsI have undone a number of your contributions where your edit consisted solely of replacing html tags <b> </b> with wikimarkup ''' ''', eg [1]. These election results pages are then excerpted using Template:Excerpt on numerous other pages such as Electoral results for the district of Wammerawa. Using wikimarkup means that the first text in bold is replaced by a link to the target page at pages such as which is inappropriate in these cases, hence the deliberate use of html tags which do not have this result. --Find bruce (talk) 22:42, 15 September 2021 (UTC) The Signpost: 26 September 2021
