Hello, I'm Adakiko. I noticed that in this edit to Salian Franks, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Adakiko (talk) 19:42, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Adakiko Dear Adakiko, i did this because the origins are already mentioned in the history section. I think i mentioned that i did a cleaning but i should collaborate on that, i agree, my bad. Damianooss (talk) 19:53, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Adakiko I will, i'm sorry. I just took down an image from the front page of the Salian Franks, after i placed a copy into the history section. Because it will be unnecesary, these are the kinds of changes i make, i do reorganizing. I will read the page you sent me. Thanks Damianooss (talk) 20:07, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't remember exactly as I have done a number of edits and other stuff since. Unfortunately wp:Huggle can be a broad cudgel sometimes... It's revert all or none. The first thing is your change from records from the third until the fifth century to record in the fourth and fifth centuries. The second is that you appeared to have added a According to whom with your content. That template is generally for others to add to someone else's edit. Were also other unsourced paragraphs. Your content should cite RS when you click "Publish changes". Clicking that makes it visible for the world to see. If you want to check your edits before publishing, try the help:Show preview and Show changes buttons. An essay: wp:That's why we preview, kids. See help:referencing for beginners. BTW: you can undo edits such as my revert via the wp:page history; please be aware of and avoid wp:edit warring. Questions? Please ask at the wp:Teahouse for fast, expert answers. Cheers and a belated welcome! Adakiko (talk) 21:08, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, i understand that, i will try to educate myself more until i will continue forward and make changes. Thank you for the reply and i appreciate the work you do. Cheers Damianooss (talk) 01:01, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You added this link: Rune inscription of Bergakker which is a wp:red link indicating that no article exists. There is an article Bergakker inscription. I piped your link to that article with Rune inscription of Bergakker. There is no article Franks (people). There is an article Franks which discusses that topic, so I change the link to that. I did not understand your intent with piping an article to its name with linguists, so I removed the pipe: linguists I recommend you use the Show preview and check that the links are blue (indicating there is an article) and actually go to the page you intend. BTW: Does this edit need a citation? You can copy the citation from another page. wp:Attribution is required for any copying. "Copied citation from example" is usually sufficient.
Just an FYI: avoid linking to wp:disambiguation (DAB) pages. You can set your Preferences->Gadgets->Display links to disambiguation pages in orange to show DAB links in orange. You may be asked if you really want to add a DAB page when clicking on Publish changes. I don't remember if this is a default behavior or not. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 20:41, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
