List of terrorist incidents involving railway systems

Hi, I would like to clarify that the 2019 Yuen Long Attack in Hong Kong was not a terrorist incident; rather, it was a riot stemming from the 2019 Hong Kong Extradition Bill. The mobs involved in the attack were convicted of rioting but not of any terrorism-related offences. Below are some news articles for your reference:

https://hongkongfp.com/2024/04/05/hong-kong-accountant-found-guilty-of-rioting-after-yuen-long-mob-attack-in-2019/

https://www.thestandard.com.hk/breaking-news/section/4/192740/Man-arrested-three-years-after-Yuen-Long-mob-attack,-to-appear-in-court

In addition, the HKSAR Government has legislation regarding terrorism, which is specified in Cap.575 United Nations (Anti-Terrorism Measures) Ordinance. Below is the content of the ordinance:

https://www.elegislation.gov.hk/hk/cap575

As such, the attack was not a terrorist incident and it should not be included on the list. HelenRForeman (talk) 01:25, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The attack has been included in the article for as long as I can remember and I reiterate that only a consensus of the editors in the list’s talk page can remove the entry. Not a decision of the HK government. Borgenland (talk) 01:46, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have expressed my views on the list's talk page, but I have not received any replies from the other editors. Aside from the fact that the incident is not related to terrorism, the number of dead and injured shown on the page is also incorrect, as there were no fatalities. If there are no objections from the other editors, I will remove the incident from the list. HelenRForeman (talk) 02:18, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The lack of replies may not necessarily signify support for your proposition. And the faulty casualty list does not imply reason alone for the entry to be removed. Borgenland (talk) 10:15, 12 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Would you be interested in helping me expand this draft, on Typhoon Angela? Tavantius (talk) 16:35, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be better for you to merge content in the draft into the main space to avoid duplication and possible AFD. Borgenland (talk) 16:40, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was thinking of requesting a history merge after this new draft is finished. Tavantius (talk) 16:46, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Anyways, assuming that you are not a resident of this country, you need to double-check veracity as I have noted serious geographical errors that I have removed. Borgenland (talk) 16:47, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2024 Mozambican General Elections

Hi,

I'm from Mozambique. The election results have just been announced, people already took to the streets. Tribunals and other buildings have been burned down. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, since you've been active on this article. The elections definitely have not been fair, it could be compared to the ones in Russia or Belarus. Constitutional Court of Korea History

Hey, I saw you added a paragraph to the History section of the Constitutional Court of Korea page. That bit seems more appropriate to be under the Criticism and Issues section to me, as it is somewhat tangential to the history of the Constitutional Court itself. What do you think? Motjustescribe (talk) 17:02, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I placed it in history because this is uncharted territory for the court. Usually criticism on such institutions are nominally for real cases of bad behavior or disfunction. For me however, the disfunction associated with the current event is tangential for the criticism section, citing my views in the first sentence. The correct idiom in English for a viral phenomenon is to write that something "goes" viral or "went" viral. "Became" viral is not how a native English speaker would write. Coolcaesar (talk) 17:54, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"Accidents with at least 5 deaths" Bloxzge 025 (talk) 21:14, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It reads with at least 5 deaths, which either occurred in unusual circumstances, or have some other significance. Why do you keep WP:IDNHT-ing that section of the lead? Borgenland (talk) 03:17, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Does that not mean it happened in an unusual circumstance with 5 deaths? Bloxzge 025 (talk) 21:46, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you remove a sourced statement from the article in the rumour section? If the rumour section wasn't required, the statement could have been used elsewhere TNM101 (chat) 13:45, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I’m concerned that section was a spinoff of details in the accident section itself, and bundling the ref off in that section would have resulted in [excessive citations] being raised. Borgenland (talk) 14:00, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
