বৌদ্ধ আধুনিকতাবাদ, আধুনিক বৌদ্ধ ধৰ্ম,^[1] বৌদ্ধ ধৰ্ম,^[2] নব্য বৌদ্ধ ধৰ্ম^[3] বা নৱযানে^[4] বৌদ্ধ ধৰ্মৰ আধুনিক পুনৰ্ব্যাখ্যাৰ ওপৰত আধাৰিত আন্দোলনসমূহক বুজায়।^[5]^[6]^[7] ডেভিড মেকমাহানৰ মতে, বৌদ্ধ ধৰ্মৰ আধুনিকতাবাদ আন ধৰ্মৰ আধুনকতাবাদৰ দৰেই। এই আধুনিকতাবাদৰ উৎস বৌদ্ধ ধৰ্মীয় সম্প্ৰদায় আৰু গুৰুসমূহৰ নতুন সংস্কৃতি আৰু চিন্তাধাৰাৰ সৈতে পৰিচয়, যেনে-পশ্চিমীয়া একেশ্বৰবাদ, যুক্তিবাদ আৰু বৈজ্ঞানিক প্ৰকৃতিবাদ তথা ৰোমাণ্টিক প্ৰকাশবাদ।^[8] পশ্চিমীয়া একেশ্বৰবাদৰ প্ৰভাৱেৰে বৌদ্ধ দেৱতাসকল পশ্চিমীয়া সমাজত স্বীকৃত হৈছে।^[9] বৈজ্ঞানিক প্ৰকৃতিবাদ আৰু ৰোমাণ্টিকতাবাদৰ ফলত বৌদ্ধ ধৰ্মৰ পৰলোকৰ সলনি ইহলোকৰ সৈতে সম্বন্ধিত লাভালাভৰ ওপৰত গুৰুত্ব বৃদ্ধি পাইছে :- যেনে ব্যৱহাৰিক যুক্তি, তৰ্ক, মানসিক আৰু স্বাস্থ্য-সম্বন্ধীয় লাভ আদি।^[10]
