Miss World 1979

Miss World 1979 adalah kontes kecantikan Miss World ke-29 yang diselenggarakan 15 November 1979 di Royal Albert Hall London, Inggris. Pemenangnya adalah Gina Swainson dari Bermuda.[1] Dia dimahkotakan oleh Miss World 1978, Silvana Suarez dari Argentina. Pemenang runner-up pertama diraih oleh Carolyn Seaward mewakili Inggris, selanjutnya adalah Debbie Campbell dari Jamaica. Swainson meraih first runner-up pertama Miss Universe 1979 mewakili Bermuda dan Carolyn Seaward menempati runner-up kedua dalam perhelatan yang sama, mewakili Inggris.[2]
