Amerika Serikat Selatan (juga Selatan Amerika, Dixie, dan Selatan), adalah suatu region di Amerika Serikat. Selatan tersebut tidak sepenuhnya sesuai dengan kategorisasi geografis selatan Amerika Serikat, tetapi umumnya didefinisikan sebagai daerah yang mencakup negara-negara bagian yang bertempur bagi Konfederasi Amerika dalam Perang Saudara Amerika.[2] Selatan sepenuhnya terletak di sudut tenggara. Arizona dan New Mexico, yang secara geografis dalam bagian selatan negeri, jarang dianggap bagiannya, sedangkan Virginia Barat, yang terpisah dari Virginia pada tahun 1863,[3] umumnya dianggap sebagai bagiannya.[4][5][6] Beberapa akademisi telah mengusulkan definisi Selatan tersebut yang tidak persis sama dengan batas-batas negara bagian.[7][8] Meskipun negara bagian Delaware dan Maryland, serta Distrik Columbia mengizinkan perbudakan sebelum mulainya Perang Saudara, mereka tetap bersama dengan Negara Utara. Sejak Gerakan Hak Sipil tahun 1960-an, mereka menjadi lebih menyatu secara kultural, ekonomi, dan politis dengan negara-negara bagian Utara yang industrialis, dan sering diidentifikasi sebagai bagian dari Atlantik Tengah atau Timur Laut oleh banyak penduduk, perusahaan, institusi publik, dan organisasi swasta.[9][10][11][12][13] Namun, Biro Sensus Amerika Serikat menempatkan mereka dalam kategori "Selatan".
