മൊളസ്കുകൾ (molluscs അല്ലെങ്കിൽ mollusks)[note 1] /ˈmɒləsks/, അ‌കശേരുകികളായ ഒരു വലിയ ഫൈലം ജന്തുക്കളുടെ പേരാണ്. 85,000-ഓളം സ്പീഷീസുകൾ നിലവിലുള്ളതായി കണ്ടെത്തപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. നത്തയ്ക്ക, ചിപ്പി, കക്ക, കണവ, കിനാവള്ളി എന്നിവ ഇതിൽ പെടുന്നു.[2] കടലിൽ കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ജീവികളിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന ഫൈലമാണ് മൊളസ്ക്. പേരുനൽകപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ള കടൽ ജന്തുക്കളിൽ ഏകദേശം 23% ഈ ഫൈലത്തിൽ പെടുന്നു. ധാരാളം മൊളസ്കുകൾ ശുദ്ധജലത്തിലും കരയിലുമുള്ള ആവാസവ്യവസ്ഥകളിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ട്. വലിപ്പത്തിലും ശരീരഘടനയിലും മാത്രമല്ല, , [[ആവാസത്തിലും ഇവ വലിയ വൈജാത്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. 9-ഓ 10-ഓ ടാക്സോണമിക ക്ലാസ്സുകളായാണ് ഈ സാധാരണഗതിയിൽ വിഭജിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. ഇതിൽ രണ്ടെണ്ണം പൂർണ്ണമായി കുറ്റിയറ്റുപോയിട്ടുണ്ട്. സ്ക്വിഡ്, കട്ടിൽഫിഷ് ഒക്റ്റോപസ് എന്നിവപോലുള്ള സെഫാലോപോഡ് മൊളസ്കുകൾ നട്ടെല്ലില്ലാത്ത ജീവികളിൽ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച നാഡീവ്യൂഹമുള്ള ജീവികളിൽ പെടുന്നു. ജയന്റ് സ്ക്വിഡ്, കൊളോസൽ സ്ക്വിഡ് എന്നിവ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നതിൽ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ അകശേരുകികളിൽ പെടുന്നു. വർഗ്ഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട സ്പീഷീസുകളിൽ പെട്ട ഏറ്റവും അംഗങ്ങളുള്ള മൊളസ്കുകളിൽ ഗാസ്ടോപോഡുകൾ (ഒച്ചുകളൂം സ്ലഗുകളും) പെടുന്നു. ആകെ സംഖ്യയിൽ ഇവ 80% വരും. മൊളസ്കുകളെപ്പറ്റി പഠിക്കുന്ന ശാസ്ത്രശാഖയെ മലാകോളജി എന്നാണ് വിളിക്കുന്നത്.[3]
