Warmed Omari
Warmed Omari (born 23 April 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Ligue 1 club Lyon, on loan from Rennes.[1] Born in France, he plays for the Comoros national team. Club careerOmari is a youth academy graduate of Rennes. On 9 June 2020, he signed his first professional contract with the club.[3] He signed a three-year contract extension on 27 April 2021, which tied him to the club until June 2024.[4] On 15 August 2021, Omari made his professional debut in a 1–1 league draw against Brest.[5] He scored his first goal for Rennes in a 1–0 Coupe de France win over Lorient on 18 December 2021.[6] On 14 September 2023, he signed a contract extension with Rennes until June 2027.[7] On 30 August 2024, Omari was loaned to Ligue 1 fellow Lyon until the end of the season.[8] International careerOmari is a former France youth international.[9] In August 2024, he received his first call-up to the Comoros national team.[10] On 4 September 2024, he made his debut for Comoros in a 1–1 draw against Gambia.[11] Personal lifeBorn in Mayotte, Omari is eligible to represent both France and Comoros in international football.[3] Career statisticsClub
