Everard Proudfoot (talk) 19:22, 14 September 2010 (UTC) I hit the "edit" button to write this, hopefully you will receive it. It is very eery communicating with you in this way, to say the least, and very overwhelming for me with little to no computer intelligence to try to properly use this wikipedia. My question is: what happens now? Is there a panel of judges or something? I would just like to resolve this in an appropriate way following the steps put forth by wikipedia.69.115.117.122 (talk) 00:13, 15 September 2010 (UTC)Yvonne Thornton
Sir, I have no desire to communicate with others. I just wanted to correct the errors in the biography and move on. If, by correcting the errors, it has been classified as an autobiography, then so be it. I don't know who wrote the text initially, but it was incumbent on me to make sure any information about me is accurate. I've exercised as much caution as I can in making certain that the information in the biography is verifiable and accurate. Yvonne S. Thornton (talk) 13:43, 15 September 2010 (UTC)Yvonne Thornton Reply to your messagesHi, Ms. Thornton. The biggest concern Wikipedia has with the subjects of articles working on their own articles is conflict of interest. In many cases, the people will provide peacockery, make themselves look really good, or else say, "You don't need sources, this is about me, so I know what I'm talking about." It's usually best if you post on the article's Discussion page any changes you think need to be made, so that others can review them and post them for you. There's already a source in the article that connects you there? Alansohn (talk) 20:49, 30 May 2022 (UTC)
