This seems interesting. Although I find my interest to be peaking at its height regarding the spelling and sentence correcting works. Weed out-er (talk) 00:23, 21 October 2020 (UTC) Sri LankaHi Sri Lanka was never allied with the US... Sri Lanka did help Pakistan but that was for different reason .I edited the information and added citations . Page 7 of that CIA document( https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP83S00854R000200130001-0.pdf) explain why SL helped Pakistan. Pakistan was a formal ally of the US while but SL was in the non -aligned movement and receiving military and economic assistance from both the US and USSR (http://www.island.lk/index.php?page_cat=article-details&page=article-details&code_title=13217). In fact Sri Lanka was a founding nation of the non-aligned movement and the non-aligned summit was held in Sri Lanka in 1976 (https://www.scribd.com/document/84464515/Sri-Lanka-s-Role-in-NAM). BakarkhaniHello! I saw your edits on Bakarkhani. Thanks for correcting a lot of misleading information in that article. I've seen a number of times some editors repeatedly removing the citations from Banglapedia and Daily Sun and the cited contents from that article. In your edits you missed to correct the place of origin of Bakarkhani in the infobox. It should be Old Dhaka in Bangladesh. You can take a look at this revision to get a clear idea. It looks like the article has been extended protected due to which I can't edit it. Also, I'd suggest you to keep that article in your watchlist. Thanks again. Za-ari-masen (talk) 17:50, 23 April 2019 (UTC) @Za-ari-masen; Yes, unfortunately I think the same person who extended protected it was the one who removed all the information. He claims Banglapedia is not reliable although nearly every Bengal-related page on this website cites from it. UserNumber (talk) 08:28, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

Another quick requestHey, I was wondering if you could help me with something again? I was hoping you could double-check my interpretation of the first paragraph of this.[2] It's my understanding that it mentions that the Pal family were descended from the rulers of the Pala Empire, through one of the kings called Mahipal. But since I found another source which seems to contradict this, I'm thinking I got the translation wrong. What do you think?

Recent page move concernsHey buddy, I wanted to talk to you about some page moves you did a few months ago. In February, you moved the page Alauddin Husain Shah to "Alauddin Husayn Shah", stating that it was due to consensus as well as being the correct spelling.[5] However, I don't think that this action was right. According to WP:MOVE, an article title is supposed to be its common name. Looking at Ngram, a search engine which tracks how often a name or phrase appears in Google Books (and is recommended for controversial page moves), both "Alauddin Husain Shah" and "Alauddin Hussain Shah" are much more commonly used name spellings, with "Alauddin Husayn Shah" not having enough hits to appear on the chart at all.[6] I also saw similar issues for when you moved Ghiyasuddin Mahmud Shah to "Ghiyathuddin Mahmud Shah"[7] and Ghiyasuddin Azam Shah to "Ghiyathuddin Azam Shah".[8] I'm thinking it'll be better to keep the original article titles. What are your thoughts?

I've thought about nominating it myself before, but I've never been sure if it was ready. Having another editor believe it is worth it is a huge compliment which I am very grateful for. I wanted to ask whether you would mind letting me continue the process from here? It's been a long time since I wrote the article, but I still have all my research saved, which may be useful for any changes that need to be made. I am also already familiar with how reviews work, having worked on and nominated an article myself last September, resulting in a successful GA assessment. What are your thoughts?

Djm-leighpark (talk) 17:18, 25 July 2020 (UTC) Please do not revert without reason.I removed Kerala and Sri Lanka from the "early muslim dominion" section. Being a Southie, and that from Kerala, I have made myself well aware of the recorded history of the Deep-South over the years. The Deep-South (Kerala and Tamilnadu and adjoining Tulu Coorg Telugu and Kannada districts) were NEVER under muslim rule. There were momentary attacks like in the early-1300s and mid-1300s and later in the early-1700s and late-1700s. Never sustained rule for even a decade or more let alone what was like in pakistan or North India or bangladesh. The Deep-South and Sri Lanka were under Hindu-Jain-Buddhist rule of the Cheras-Pandyas-Cholas for all of their recorded-history (The same rulers oscillated between Hinduism Jainism and Buddhism). The Dharmic rulers built Kodungalloor masjid and Nagore dargah among others for their muslim subjects over the centuries. Can you name ONE mosque or monument built by a *muslim* ruler even in southern Andhra or southern Karnataka let alone beyond? Kerala (or Tamilnadu or Sri Lanka) never had any early "muslim dominion". tughlaqs could not hold on to their southern and western territories for even a decade. The existing article on Bangladeshi cuisine already has a section for Sylhet Division, so I'd suggest transferring any content worth rescuing there and making the Sylheti cuisine article a redirect to Bangladeshi cuisine, rather than zapping it altogether. The content regarding the contribution to the UK culinary landscape of people with family ties to Sylhet has no place in either article. That self-published website has been discussed several times at WP:RSN, with the consensus every time being that it is not a reliable source.[241][264][376] --Worldbruce (talk) 02:02, 25 April 2024 (UTC) WikiprojectHi, I see you've contributed a lot to Bengali Kissa, would you be interested in a taskforce on oral tradition?
