Please remove Topper Headon's name from this article. The newspaper articles you are referring to above are not reliable sources as they themselves do not refer to a reliable source. They repeat hearsay based on false statements possibly made by Tex Exile, aka Anthony Doughty. The allegations are contentious as potentially defamatory.

2. The term 'English' is unambiguous in the UK but in the USA (and other countries) it's used interchangably with 'British'. A disambiguation link is necessary.

It's because they are notable in themselves - as someone had already told you They're notable pure and simple. If a soverign entity like the Republic of Ireland lends troops to participate in the filming of a movie that's notable. If members of a small hobby group get jobs as extras in a film that isn't. RI army doing something = notable, a few hobbists doing something = not. I get the impression that the sysop's are not very happy with the information I'm posting as it is original research. The problem is that there is a severe lack of information regard this area and the KDDA want to change that. I originally thought that the wikipedia would be an ideal place to compile this local knowledge, before the the town-lands in Fermanagh are lost like in so many other places in Ireland. This allows many people to challenge the information, like the translation of Aghadrumsee. Please see this link I personally believe this translation, from "Aghadromsillagh" makes more sense. The reason for this is that there is also a "Coolnassillagh" in the area. I think over time, and the fact that the map makes at the time were translating it "as heard" the name has been corupted. The orginal name of "Aghadromsillagh" would mean "Field on the hillock of Sally trees"

I've never used Wikipedia templates but if you search for that text you'll find a page on them.

I think the main thing with Wikipedia is that you should cite sources for what you write. I've changed the Aghadrumsee etymology section for that reason, better sourced material always takes precedence. Unknown Unknowns (talk) 16:37, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe both translations have equal merit and are both worth a mention. The fact is that whatever happened to the original name it has ended up as "Aghadrumsee", this could have been by purpose/design. Until evidence is found to contrary, both translation should be included. Whats your thoughts on this matter?

Just to throw a spanner in the works, I found Aghadrumsee referred to as "Black Dogs Lane"! There is a legend of a large black dog with huge flaming eyes. However, it didn't seem to do anything other then pick its victims up on its back and give them a terror-stricken ride normally throwing them off into mud or into a gorse bush! Its so called victims are normally intoxicated at the time. LMAO Its related to the fairy's you spoke of, as a fairy dog! I think its called "Cu Sìth", possibly a "Púca". Thought you might be interested in hearing that one.

On a more serious note, an author—including a Wikipedian—owns the copyright to their own writing. Although all text on Wikipedia is licensed to allow editing and redistribution, the original author still retains copyright, and by failing to attribute them you violate their copyright and breach the terms of the license. More generally, it's just rude to copy something wholesale from somebody's userspace and paste in mainspace without so much as a by your leave. Please don't do that kind of thing again (and if you've done it elsewhere, please let me know so I can tidy it up), and when you get a minute please read WP:CWW. Which quite clearly states: Content removal is not considered to be vandalism when the reason for the removal of the content is readily apparent by examination of the content itself, or where a non-frivolous explanation for the removal of apparently legitimate content is provided, linked to, or referenced in an edit summary. Blanking that could be legitimate includes blanking all or part of a biography of a living person. Wikipedia is especially concerned about providing accurate and unbiased information on the living; blanking may be an effort to remove inaccurate or biased material.
