DYK for Esther T. MookiniOn 18 August 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Esther T. Mookini, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that linguist Esther T. Mookini translated many works of 19th-century native Hawaiians, including the 1838 Anatomia, the only medical textbook written in the Hawaiian language? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Esther T. Mookini. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Esther T. Mookini), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. Thellomerca (talk) 17:36, 6 April 2021 (UTC) GermanHi. Do you read German? Agnes Asche will likely get moved to draft, as it does not contain any sources. I can see sources in German when I search in Google books. --- Possibly (talk) 02:57, 18 April 2021 (UTC) Hi, yes, I can read German. I translated the article from German, which didn't have any in-line citations (which seems less normal in German wiki, so I'm not sure what the convention is for translating articles that don't have inline citations). I added the book cited on the German page at the bottom of the English page. If you send me the citations or links to the German sources, I can add those to the English page. Parking for the event on SaturdayThe library's parking lot is adjacent to the library; if you enter from San Vicente, it's the lot on the right. Validation is available for three hours, but please note: the lot fills up quickly. (There's another lot on the opposite side of the driveway. Parking is validated for an hour at the booth on the ground floor of the garage or near the small dog area on the opposite side of West Hollywood Park.) Parking in West Hollywood is treacherous! If you park on the street make sure to read the signs. Most everywhere is permit parking, and the wonderful park is in part financed by parking tickets. So. Alternative transit methods are a great idea. Hope to meet you! JSFarman (talk) 16:59, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
