I was procrastinating today and reading about WikiProjects, so I ended up going through all the newsletters for WikiProject X, and that final report on Meta almost brought me to tears. I've also had the experience of funding not going far enough as shrinking teams go through the motions on projects that continually run over cost estimates while everybody becomes depressed at the launch getting further and further away. @JPxG: Aye. But funding not going far enough is (potentially) fine. Getting stuck in the mindset that you need to deliver as promised regardless of how far the funding went, on the other hand, is another matter entirely. Context varies, but with these kinds of projects it's rarely so simple, and we do not owe our very sanity to the movement...
With grants, we owe what was funded, and the relevant reporting such that whatever problems arose can be avoided in future projects. We do not necessarily owe whatever we thought that funding could do. -— Isarra༆03:56, 23 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
