User talk:Drkup(IMJ)July 2011Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (IAC-Israel Museum) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it gives the impression that this account is registered to a group or organization. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you. P. D. It was their suggestion to have the user name denote the "Israeli Art Information Center" and "The Israel Museum, Jerusalem". We have only begun yesterday to test the waters and appreciate your feedback. We are working on preparing a project page. Do you think IAC-IMJ is better? I am the first of many that will be involved in this project. IAC is one dept, there will be others. UnblockedI am unblocking this account. According to Wikipedia:Username policy, Users who adopt such usernames, but who are not editing problematically in related articles, should not be blocked. Instead, they should be gently encouraged to change their username. I know this user in real life and i confirm that the work done from it is done in perfectly good faith. Yes. At the recommendation of Liam Wyatt from the Foundation I was told the following "If you can make a personal one with the institution`s name at the end, that would be better. Here, for example, is one of the Wikimedia Foundation's staff's userpage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Steven_(WMF) As a volunteer he edits as user:steven Walling but as an employee he edits as user:steven (WMF) with a description on both of those pages explaining his affiliation. New articlesI hadn't seen any new articles from you, so I thought you were off relaxing. There are a few places where one can see new articles that have been created. Special:NewPages is the logs of all new articles that get created that are done by "untrusted" editors. By "untrusted", I mean the editor has created alot of new articles. People look at the logs to find new articles that clearly don't belong (hoax, garbled words, nonsense). There are database reports that get created. I use one of these. A report is generated of any biography of a living person. A bot (computer program) tags these with a biography banner on the article's talk page. I see what the bot tagged. I manually add some meta-data and look for articles that might not meet the requirements to be an article.... So, that is why I see the new articles you created. A tag has been placed on Guy Ben-Ner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. See the guidelines for specific types of articles: biographies, websites, bands, or companies. Bgwhite (talk) 21:03, 9 September 2011 (UTC) Hi DrkupHi - I understand you've mostly worked on the Hebrew WP until now. In the English WP, the adherence to the article sourcing rules are much stricter. So (a) please source your articles with references, and (b) please make those references inline citations. (It's not hard to learn, if you need help let me know. It's pretty much must-have knowledge for repeat contributors to WP). Kol HaKavod on the new initiative, good luck!--Sreifa (talk) 04:36, 20 September 2011 (UTC) Update to the Wikipedia:GLAM/IMJ pageI've been updating the Wikipedia:GLAM/IMJ page. I haven't written anything new, just organized it with the same pattern the other Glams have it. The biggie is the "Project Statistics" at the bottom of the page. Hopefully this will allow better tracking of all the articles. If you place the {{WikiProject Israel Museum, Jerusalem}} tag on an article's talk page it will show up on the table. The table updates once every three days. I'm not finished with all the infrastructure... Will get it done over the next few days.

Speedy deletion of "Walter Zadek"A page you created, Walter Zadek, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular. You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article. Thank you. Breawycker (talk to me!) 21:33, 27 September 2011 (UTC) templatesI also put a word in about Walter Zadek's deletion. Could you start using the templates that have been created. I just updated Efrat Natan to use the templates. The templates do two things... One, it keeps the look consistent. Two, if the links in any way change in the future, hopefully will only have to change the information on the template itself rather than updating all the articles with the new link. The Information Center for Israeli Art template ({{IMJ-IAC}}), should be used in the reference section. For Efrat Natan, I placed the template under "General" because the article was small and information from the template was used for most of the article. Bgwhite (talk) 22:54, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of James S. Snyder
A tag has been placed on James S. Snyder requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Some of this content was placed by User:Ndreiss, but given your evident affiliation with the IMJ you may be able to help verify this content anyway. Good news - I have cleared up the issue with Permissions - Wikimedia Commons [permissions-commons@wikimedia.org] and have Ticket#2012051310002101 which states "Texts permissions". Can you please help me reinstate all the texts? Thank you. Drkup(IMJ) (talk) 05:09, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

Translations of WLPA interfaceHi. Thanks for the first batch of translations at Commons:Wiki Loves Public Art 2013/Translation team#Hebrew translation 3. I've implemented all of the translations apart from the Israel Specific ones. These describe the upload process on Commons whereas you've given what looks like a description for how to upload images using Pikiwiki. What I need is an exact translation (same structure as the English text) otherwise it won't work as part of the Commons infrastructure. The Pikiwiki instructions is something you might put in a subsection of Commons:Wiki Loves Public Art 2013 in Israel instead. May 2013Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to List of public art in Israel may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Sergio Edelsztein, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.curatorial.net/go/en/read/Sergio+Edelsztein. It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues. If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Speedy deletion nomination of Judith Guedalia
A tag has been placed on Judith Guedalia, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. reddogsix (talk) 19:06, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Eran Neuman2.jpgThanks for uploading File:Eran Neuman2.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information. To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. The article Zoltan Harmat has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Kleuske (talk) 13:13, 23 February 2017 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Eran Neuman.jpgThank you for uploading File:Eran Neuman.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Files need to be uploadedHello, Drkup(IMJ). I noticed that your recent edit to Moshe Spitzer added a link to an image on an external website or on your computer, or to a file name that does not exist on Wikipedia's server. For technical and policy reasons it is not possible to use images from external sources on Wikipedia. Most images you find on the internet are copyrighted and cannot be used on Wikipedia, or their use is subject to certain restrictions. If the image meets Wikipedia's image use policy, consider uploading it to Wikipedia yourself or request that someone else upload it. See the image tutorial to learn about wiki syntax used for images. Thank you. Sam Sailor 19:38, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Shlomit Haber-Schaim
A tag has been placed on Shlomit Haber-Schaim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://museum.imj.org.il/artcenter/newsite/en/?artist=Haber-Schaim%2C+Shlomit&list=H. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa (talk) 14:11, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
