New Page Patrol newsletter October 2022

Hello John B123,

Much has happened since the last newsletter over two months ago. The open letter finished with 444 signatures. The letter was sent to several dozen people at the WMF, and we have heard that it is being discussed but there has been no official reply. A related article appears in the current issue of The Signpost. If you haven't seen it, you should, including the readers' comment section.

Awards: Barnstars were given for the past several years (thanks to MPGuy2824), and we are now all caught up. The 2021 cup went to John B123 for leading with 26,525 article reviews during 2021. To encourage moderate activity, a new "Iron" level barnstar is awarded annually for reviewing 360 articles ("one-a-day"), and 100 reviews earns the "Standard" NPP barnstar. About 90 reviewers received barnstars for each of the years 2018 to 2021 (including the new awards that were given retroactively). All awards issued for every year are listed on the Awards page. Check out the new Hall of Fame also.

Software news: Novem Linguae and MPGuy2824 have connected with WMF developers who can review and approve patches, so they have been able to fix some bugs, and make other improvements to the Page Curation software. You can see everything that has been fixed recently here. The reviewer report has also been improved.

NPP backlog May – October 15, 2022

Suggestions:

  • There is much enthusiasm over the low backlog, but remember that the "quality and depth of patrolling are more important than speed".
  • Reminder: an article should not be tagged for any kind of deletion for a minimum of 15 minutes after creation and it is often appropriate to wait an hour or more. (from the NPP tutorial)
  • Reviewers should focus their effort where it can do the most good, reviewing articles. Other clean-up tasks that don't require advanced permissions can be left to other editors that routinely improve articles in these ways (creating Talk Pages, specifying projects and ratings, adding categories, etc.) Let's rely on others when it makes the most sense. On the other hand, if you enjoy doing these tasks while reviewing and it keeps you engaged with NPP (or are guiding a newcomer), then by all means continue.
  • This user script puts a link to the feed in your top toolbar.

Backlog:

Saving the best for last: From a July low of 8,500, the backlog climbed back to 11,000 in August and then reversed in September dropping to below 6,000 and continued falling with the October backlog drive to under 1,000, a level not seen in over four years. Keep in mind that there are 2,000 new articles every week, so the number of reviews is far higher than the backlog reduction. To keep the backlog under a thousand, we have to keep reviewing at about half the recent rate!

New Pages Patrol newsletter January 2023

Hello John B123,

New Page Review queue December 2022
Backlog

The October drive reduced the backlog from 9,700 to an amazing 0! Congratulations to WaddlesJP13 who led with 2084 points. See this page for further details. The queue is steadily rising again and is approaching 2,000. It would be great if <2,000 were the “new normal”. Please continue to help out even if it's only for a few or even one patrol a day.

2022 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2022 cup for 28,302 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 80/day. There was one Gold Award (5000+ reviews), 11 Silver (2000+), 28 Iron (360+) and 39 more for the 100+ barnstar. Rosguill led again for the 4th year by clearing 49,294 redirects. For the full details see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone!

Minimum deletion time: The previous WP:NPP guideline was to wait 15 minutes before tagging for deletion (including draftification and WP:BLAR). Due to complaints, a consensus decided to raise the time to 1 hour. To illustrate this, very new pages in the feed are now highlighted in red. (As always, this is not applicable to attack pages, copyvios, vandalism, etc.)

New draftify script: In response to feedback from AFC, the The Move to Draft script now provides a choice of set messages that also link the creator to a new, friendly explanation page. The script also warns reviewers if the creator is probably still developing the article. The former script is no longer maintained. Please edit your edit your common.js or vector.js file from User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js to User:MPGuy2824/MoveToDraft.js

Redirects: Some of our redirect reviewers have reduced their activity and the backlog is up to 9,000+ (two months deep). If you are interested in this distinctly different task and need any help, see this guide, this checklist, and spend some time at WP:RFD.

Discussions with the WMF The PageTriage open letter signed by 444 users is bearing fruit. The Growth Team has assigned some software engineers to work on PageTriage, the software that powers the NewPagesFeed and the Page Curation toolbar. WMF has submitted dozens of patches in the last few weeks to modernize PageTriage's code, which will make it easier to write patches in the future. This work is helpful but is not very visible to the end user. For patches visible to the end user, volunteers such as Novem Linguae and MPGuy2824 have been writing patches for bug reports and feature requests. The Growth Team also had a video conference with the NPP coordinators to discuss revamping the landing pages that new users see.

Reminders
  • Newsletter feedback - please take this short poll about the newsletter.
  • There is live chat with patrollers on the New Page Patrol Discord.
  • Please add the project discussion page to your watchlist.
  • If you no longer wish to be a reviewer, please ask any admin to remove you from the group. If you want the tools back again, just ask at PERM.

New Pages Patrol newsletter June 2023

Hello John B123,

New Page Review queue April to June 2023

Backlog

Redirect drive: In response to an unusually high redirect backlog, we held a redirect backlog drive in May. The drive completed with 23851 reviews done in total, bringing the redirect backlog to 0 (momentarily). Congratulations to Hey man im josh who led with a staggering 4316 points, followed by Meena and Greyzxq with 2868 and 2546 points respectively. See this page for more details. The redirect queue is steadily rising again and is steadily approaching 4,000. Please continue to help out, even if it's only for a few or even one review a day.

Redirect autopatrol: All administrators without autopatrol have now been added to the redirect autopatrol list. If you see any users who consistently create significant amounts of good quality redirects, consider requesting redirect autopatrol for them here.

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team, consisting of Sam, Jason and Susana, and also some patches from Jon, has been hard at work updating PageTriage. They are focusing their efforts on modernising the extension's code rather than on bug fixes or new features, though some user-facing work will be prioritised. This will help make sure that this extension is not deprecated, and is easier to work on in the future. In the next month or so, we will have an opt-in beta test where new page patrollers can help test the rewrite of Special:NewPagesFeed, to help find bugs. We will post more details at WT:NPPR when we are ready for beta testers.

Articles for Creation (AFC): All new page reviewers are now automatically approved for Articles for Creation draft reviewing (you do not need to apply at WT:AFCP like was required previously). To install the AFC helper script, visit Special:Preferences, visit the Gadgets tab, tick "Yet Another AFC Helper Script", then click "Save". To find drafts to review, visit Special:NewPagesFeed, and at the top left, tick "Articles for Creation". To review a draft, visit a submitted draft, click on the "More" menu, then click "Review (AFCH)". You can also comment on and submit drafts that are unsubmitted using the script.

You can review the AFC workflow at WP:AFCR. It is up to you if you also want to mark your AFC accepts as NPP reviewed (this is allowed but optional, depends if you would like a second set of eyes on your accept). Don't forget that draftspace is optional, so moves of drafts to mainspace (even if they are not ready) should not be reverted, except possibly if there is conflict of interest.

Pro tip: Did you know that visual artists such as painters have their own SNG? The most common part of this "creative professionals" criteria that applies to artists is WP:ARTIST 4b (solo exhibition, not group exhibition, at a major museum) or 4d (being represented within the permanent collections of two museums).

I need your help, please

Hello, John B123,

Compliments of the season and a happy new year in advance. I'm reaching out to you because I enjoyed your guidance on helping me spot the issues on the page, Zaki Biam Massacre, which I reworked and you subsequently reviewed.

I created the article, Juwon Lawal Razaq, and moved it to main space last month. However, it was neither reviewed nor returned to draft space nor any tag placed on it, and I have been worried as to what this means. All articles I have created in the past usually get reviewed or reactions for improvement the same day or within a week. About a week ago, out of worry, I erroneously moved it to draft space to work on it again and returned it to main space, hoping that it would be seen and get a reaction. However, I woke up the next day with only a caution about moving articles between spaces which I apologized. I've added more references since then from reputable national news platforms that wrote about the subject directly and in detail and wanted an experienced opinion. Could you help me check it out and review if in good standing or make appropriate recommendations that appeal to you, please? Thank you. Bemmax (talk) 06:26, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bemmax, seasons greetings.
There is a large queue at the moment for new page reviews so I wouldn't read anything into the article hasn't been looked at yet. I've had a quick look at the article and it comes across as being promotional, please see MOS:PEACOCK. Regards --John B123 (talk) 23:14, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mountain Tobacco

Hi, I note that you reverted my edit that changed Mountain Tobacco from a redirect to Bearberry into a disambiguation page that linked to both Bearberry and Arnica. I wrongly stated in the edit summary that the phrase appeared in both target pages, my apologies for that - in fact the phrase appears in Arnica (as an alternative name) but not in Bearberry (which says only that it was traditionally smoked by Native American Indians "as a tobacco substitute or mixed with tobacco").

Mountain Tobacco was originally created as a redirect to Arnica in 2005, then switched to redirect to Bearberry in 2008 (by a user that was later blocked). Please could you clarify why you feel the redirect to Bearberry is the correct disposition, and preferable to anything that connects to Arnica? Hv (talk) 23:15, 1 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hv. I reverted your edit as the term Mountain Tobacco is not mentioned in Bearberry (MOS:DABNOMENTION) to the previous version, but didn't look at what that previous version was, apologies forthat. You are correct that Arnica is a better target, so I'll change it. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 09:24, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. I looked a little deeper, and found that at the time the redirect was moved to Bearberry that page did list Mountain Tobacco as an alternative name; a lengthy list of alternative names was removed in 2017 at [1] by an IP address later blocked for vandalism. The list was introduced in 2005 at [2], and does not ever appear to have had a citation attached to it; but the author appears to have been (briefly) part of a project to incorporate data from newly released Project Gutenberg works.
I'm not sure how much energy I have to track that down further, but for the avoidance of doubt: if Bearberry should acquire an appropriately sourced mention of "Mountain Tobacco" as an alternative name, would a DAB page along the lines I had created become appropriate? Hv (talk) 14:09, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Hv. If you can find a source and add "Mountain Tobacco" as an alternative name to Bearberry then changing the redirect to a dab page would be appropriate. Regards --John B123 (talk) 21:12, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Shanghai Micro Electronics Equipment

Hi John. I noticed the article Shanghai Micro Electronics Equipment was around for a while but hasn't been reviewed yet. I was seeing if you could help out on it? It is not my article but I will do my part to add to it later. - Imcdc Contact 01:32, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Imcdc, hope all is well with you.
Having a quick look at the article, a lot is referenced to SMEE's website, I'm not sure that Toms Hardware would be considered a reliable source as some of their content is in 'collaboration' with their advertisers. The article needs more independent sources.
The list of products taken from the company's website seems unnecessary. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:15, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @John B123,
I have spoke with @Spotty's Friend on it. We have cleaned up a lot of primary sourcing and promotional material from the article.
It should be noted this is most likely a China state owned entity with only domestic business in China. Regarding the Tom's Hardware articles, the author believes it should be OK since it's fairly unlikely that SMEE or any other Chinese entities associated with them has any monetary relationship with the website or the author, nor is there any likely motive on the part of SMEE to promote itself in the US media given the existing political climate.
See if this would work. - Imcdc Contact 12:29, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Imcdc, that looks a lot better now. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 20:04, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Harun Osman

Hello John B123, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Harun Osman, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: G4: not substantially identical. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 14:56, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ivanvector. Thanks for taking the time to let me know. The problem with G4 is that unless you are an admin you cannot see the previous (deleted) version to know if it is substantially identical. Regards --John B123 (talk) 22:25, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It is a problem, yeah, and we don't really have a good workaround since the WMF is paranoid about access to deleted content. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 12:20, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024

Hello John B123,

New Page Review queue January to March 2024

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.

Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.

Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.

It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!

2023 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.

Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.

Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

I apologize for the disrespect

I understand that there was a problem with my editing details. I apologize for the disrespect. I will be more careful in the future.

I was blocked by a misunderstanding and then released. Sock is easily accessible to anyone by simply looking at the edit history. It's not something I know particularly well. I kept watching and came to a conclusion, and I created an account while editing with ip 106.

Especially since you debate with the socks that were mentioned, I believe you also know Olafu, Marry, besto, and bablo.

I will not contribute to the edits until the clear identification of them.

Sbowman is pretending that im his alt, dont listen to him. what i wrote exposed his tactics of sockpuppetry and dishonesty, ill put it back up:

Sbowman3452 is a sock of the banned sockpuppet master Bablos939 and Marryhence both edited the same prostitution articles, Prostitution in Malaysia, they both are Korean nationalists who delete stuff about Korean prostitutes, they use the same broken english claimng wikipedia edits as "documents" and they both are obsessed with the same sockpuppet rivals, Milktaco (Rajmaan). Thats the evidence for them being the same

here they both refer to edits as "documents" using broken English with Korean grammar.

Those edits are totally unrelated to the account he is accusing of being a sock, just like his edits on English wikipedia at Massage Parlor and Prostitution in Asia. The commonality in all of his edits across his accounts is that he removes everything about Korean prostitutes.

Bablos939 and Sbowman3452 used similar language in their unblock requests, saying they are suffering from embarrassment or embarrassing. They speak in an identical manner using the same Korean broken English, same wrong terms in English, same grammar.

Also the part where he says he 'edited out other phrases in his report' is a lie, those were my words not his, everything you see above are my words: proof: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:RoySmith&diff=prev&oldid=1219967803 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88thD (talk • contribs) 07:16, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dear John, it was really rude that I erased the contents from your personal user talk. Sorry for the disturbance on your talk page. Please kindly guide him to my personal user talk. This is because I just joined Wikipedia. Sorry for the folly.

Okay. Dear 88thD. We are having discussions in too many places. Would please come to my user talk? If you're dissatisfied with me, I think it's better to come to my user talk, instead of doing that on other people's pages.Even though, it's because of my stupidity, but you left on your argument at my text. Instead of using "reply".

Dear 88thd, I accidentally deleted your post. But you deleted all the original content and only restored your argument.I am displeased with the attitude of writing under my contribution without using the reply function. You are the only one pretending to be me. You attempt to discredit my writing through these activities.

expected you to check this soon and use the reply function to leave a new one. Sorry if it was offensive. All the rest of his arguments are refuted in my page. So John, if he appears again, please send him to my user talk.

Sbowman is violating rules by deleting my posts, only the talk page owner can do that to his own talk page — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88thD (talkcontribs) 07:23, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

May I proceed with the editing?

Dear user:John B123,I didn't mean to make a fuss in your user talk. However, today user:88thD raised the possibility that I was a sock. I made a fuss in your user talk while protesting against it. I'm so sorry. I made a new one because I don't think I can get more hands on editing former one.

Hi Sbowman3452. I can see no evidence that Olafgurfson is a sock. Even if you suspect an editor is a sock you cannot go round deleting their contributions. That can only happened once an editor has been confirmed by those who are experts at detecting socks.

Few days ago, I raised about the possibility that user:Olafgurfson is user:Bestokuyam's socks. And Olafgurfson was blocked yesterday because it was confirmed that it was a sockpuppet of Milktaco.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Olafgurfson https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Bestokuyam

Can I erase that contribution from now?

All refutations to claims that suspect me of being a sock are in my user talk. My purpose was to erase the contribution of the sock. It was also aimed at erasing false information that was different from what it really was, as I presented a statistical link to government agencies. So I created an account. If only the contribution of the sock is deleted, I will no longer be active on wikipedia.

Sbowman3452 (talk) 13:43, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Sbowman3452: It is totally unacceptable to delete content on another editor's talk page. I'll refer you to my original reply to you which you subsequently deleted:
I find it strange that you have only deleted contributions about Koreans. Also strange you know so much about historic socks yet your account is only 2 days old.
I'll add to that as you have admitted you are only here to revert contributions by a sock and will stop editing when you have achieved this, it seems to me that you are clearly not here to build an encyclopaedia. I suspect this is a dispute on another language encyclopedia that has spilled over here. --John B123 (talk) 22:57, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I found something false. I signed up to correct this. Is this destructive behavior? I believe this is for Wikipedia. Do I have to wait with editing dozens of other articles? To editing what I want? If I sign up, do I have to continue working here? Forever? That's not right.I don't have time for that.
You also deleted the contribution of the socks I was about to delete. Like you, I was about to delete the false and sock's sabotage. Did I fill in the falsehoods? I was just looking at Wikipedia and found the false and the contribution of the socks, and I was just trying to erase it. Wikipedia is open to everyone.

It's now been confirmed that it's a sock. Is it OK to erase it?Sbowman3452 (talk) 23:47, 21 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sir John, I suffered a lot mentally for a few days. But now it turns out that Olafgurfson is Bestokuyam's sock. The contribution of the sock will be removed. Wikipedia is open to everyone. Thank you for hanging out with us over the past few days. Please keep an eye on the misdeeds of the sock. I am so sorry for the disrespect that I had caused in your User Talk. Scale AI

Hi John. I have recreated the page, Scale AI. When I created it last year, it didn't seem to have as many good references. Now there seems to be a lot more coverage about it now (well not in the most positive manner) so I have recreated from scratch.

Can I please request your review and approval of it? - Imcdc Contact 06:43, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Imcdc, from what I can see (some of the refs you require a subscription) the article now meets WP:GNG. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:21, 22 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Epanalepsis

Thank you for more elegantly swapping the page titles on Epanalepsis and Epanadiplosis. Epanalepsis redirects to itself now though. Should I reinstate the stub I created to fill it out? I didnt quite understand the edit tags you left, are you implying German Wikipedia is an unreliable source?
Also Epanadiplosis definitely needs some extensive copy editing because the French translations don't really work but I'm not sure I'll be up to it.
And to complete this epanadiplosis, again, thank you :) Anatol Rath (talk) 21:42, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Anatol Rath, no problem. I've changed the redirect so Epanalepsis redirects to Epanadiplosis. Not sure what you mean about the edit tags? Regards. --John B123 (talk) 21:51, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Skylar Gaertner

Hello. Thank you for your comments on Skylar Gaertner page. I have added ten or so more citations, some of which refer to him as starring in Ozark (TV series) alongside the rest of the principal cast. Also a couple of articles specifically about him (see: https://netflixqueue.com/kid-stays-in-the-picture and https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/an-interview-with-ozark-kids-sofia-hublitz-and-skylar-gaertner) Is this sufficient to justify his own article now, please? Thank you BJCHK (talk) 09:48, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi BJCHK. To establish notability you need two or preferably three in depth, independent articles about Skylar Gaertner. https://netflixqueue.com/kid-stays-in-the-picture seems to be written around quotes from Gaertner and https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/an-interview-with-ozark-kids-sofia-hublitz-and-skylar-Gaertner is from an interview. You need to find some in depth articles that are not based on what Gaertner has said. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:33, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

About Geji

。Sorry, I didn't mean to bother you, I just said that I didn't want to whitewash anything. Look at this latest version, there are authoritative references everywhere, I didn't say there was no geji prostitution. But the other party insisted that the profession of geji is a prostitution profession. Now he still deletes these contents with a lot of references, saying that these are all whitewashing, and the references are not authoritative. So I don't want to say who is destroying the entry. I'm sorry to bother you. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Geji&oldid=1246351378 清风与明月 (talk) 15:55, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notability tag

Can you tell me how Sooraj Thapar does not meet WP:NACTOR? Multiple sources have been cited to confirm he meets it. Dympies (talk) 10:22, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dympies Most of the references in the article describe the roles he is playing with quotes from Thapar. None of them provide any in depth coverage of Thapar himself rather than the roles he is playing. Regards --John B123 (talk) 20:10, 2 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Finnish prostitutes indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. plicit 03:54, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Revert of StreetComplete article creation

Hello, why do you think that StreetComplete is not "notable" enough to have a Wikipedia article? Many other OpenStreetMap-editors like iD, JOSM, and Potlatch, as well as the more map focused applications Organic Maps and OsmAnd have a Wikipedia article. As mentioned in the Usage section of the StreetComplete article, StreetComplete is the second most used OpenStreetMap editor (by number of users). Fkjs (talk) 08:39, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fkjs. From WP:GNG: A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. GitHub, OpenStreetMap's wiki and Google Play Store are not independent sources. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 19:41, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for clarifying, I will improve the sources. Fkjs (talk) 19:55, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Fkjs: If you add the template {{under construction}} or {{in creation}} to the top of the page whilst you are improving the sources then other editors will know you are still working and are less likely to interfere. Regards. --John B123 (talk) 21:02, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

December 2024

Hello, john I don't ignore your edits or contact you for criticism purposes. I'm just curious. A lot of websites are cited as references on Wikipedia. There are adult websites that pretend to be informative, and a lot of illegal websites are cited, so why is only the website I post classified as spam? There are many more dangerous or illegal sites. I can link them to you if you want. I'd like to know why you're spamming only the references I post. Jkjk0914 (talk) 12:29, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Jkjk0914: Your additions, and those of the two other accounts that recently joined, seem only to add links to thainight1.com to multiple articles. This is not acceptable. Existing links to other sites in articles is entirely irrelevant to your actions. --John B123 (talk) 20:45, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't keep adding, but I just quote multiple articles in different ways because it's rejected as spam for no reason, maybe it's against the guidelines.
I'm not just talking about the other site links in the article. Any site is allowed to refer to the site that contains the information related to the article. Have you seen all the links in the other articles? What's the exact reason why I spam only editing? Wouldn't that be the only way I can edit according to the guidelines? As you replied, I'm referring to different contents in different articles, and if you refer to other articles, there's not much difference in the links in other articles. Please give me the exact reason. Jkjk0914 (talk) 20:54, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm Asian, so I use English and my native language ID separately. I didn't randomly cite the same content in any article. I'm just referring to something different on the same website. I'm talking about fairness. For what reason can I not post it, but can I post it from another editor? Simply upload it with 2 IDs? Then I will delete 1 ID voluntarily. Is the content of the article insufficient? Then I will supplement the article. What other parts should I fix? Jkjk0914 (talk) 20:59, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll attach 1 link. Please explain the difference between the references to this article and my editing.
"https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nana_Plaza" References No.4 Jkjk0914 (talk) 21:05, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Changing existing references that verify the information to references to thainight1.com multiple times can only be seen as trying to promote thainight1.com which is not allowed. Using multiple accounts to achieve the same objective is also not allowed. --John B123 (talk) 21:08, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
My editing is spammed not just because I changed the existing reference. That existing reference is so old. I understand that you can't change the existing reference. I'll do that. In the other citations, I've added new references, and my skills are not yet professional, so I've just edited them myself to change them to Wikipedia policy, and if I post them once, I've done it repeatedly to get spammed. If two accounts are a problem, I'll only use one account in the future. I won't be randomly citing the same citation from multiple accounts to unrelated articles in the future. However, please make sure that the references related to the article are treated equally fair to other editors. Jkjk0914 (talk) 21:17, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not trying to do this random link. I can't say that it doesn't help with publicity if it's mentioned on Wikipedia.
The link you just changed is also on the page that introduces Nanaplaza's business. I'm talking about prostate massages and have cited information that helps men.
