Addition of plant numbers

Plant taxonomy, and hence the number of species, genera, etc., is not a matter of fixed facts. All taxonomy is to some degree a matter of opinion. So when you add information based on one source – in your case Christenhusz & Byng (2016) – you need to do so with care, respecting the taxonomy already in use in the article, and the information and sources it uses. This is not an objection to adding data from Christenhusz & Byng (2016), but merely to say that you need to proceed with more care, respecting all sources.

Consider, as one example, how you left the Cannabaceae article. After your edit, it said "'As now circumscribed, the family includes about 100 species in about 8 genera,[ref to Christenhusz & Byng, 2016] including Cannabis (hemp, marijuana), Humulus (hops) and Celtis (hackberries). Celtis is by far the largest genus, containing about 100 species.[ref to APweb]" This is clearly inconsistent, and is based on different circumscriptions, which need analysing and explaining. The list of genera later in the article also needs fixing, since it lists 9 genera. I can't access Christenhusz & Byng (2016) so I don't know whether it lists the genera; if not, then it's hard to reconcile with sources that do. Discuss the differences in a Taxonomy section, by all means, but don't put something in the lead (which is supposed to summarize the article) which is contradictory. Speciose

Speciose is mainly used in taxonomy and means "rich in species" (see Wiktionary: speciose).

Specious can mean "having an attractive appearance intended to generate a favorable response" (see:Wiktionary: specious)
