SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker.
On 15 June 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Punsari, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Punsari, a small village in Gujarat, was awarded with the "Best Panchayat in Gujarat" title? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Punsari. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.
Hi there! Just 1 note; that if you inform editors about selection of Mumbai for FA, do inform that it wont be nominated in 1 month and the work may extend upto 2-3 months as the article need a lot of cleanup and FAs usually take a long time, also, we have to get a peer review so it'll be long.
Those editors are free to quit after 1 month, but I won't be doing it and will make sure that it is good for FA :) →TSUtp*19:56, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
...we are the bhaais. ;-) Yes, ofcourse! Editors already know of this fact that there is no hard and fast rule to complete it within this month. However, we can try our best to finish it asap. Also, as we are going for a FA this time, its better to get only some experienced folks. Newbies might mess it up and increase our workload. And yes, we can take our cool time. The purpose of collaborations is to build the base of the article (in this case, brush it up, verify the info, reference-check, etc) and prepare it for the GA/FA nomination. Work may be done even after the collaboration period is over. And it's upto the editors whether they wish to continue on it or not :-) By the way, your enthusiasm on the Mumbai article is infectious! Keep it up buddy :-) --BPositive(talk)05:28, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A quick reminder about using the account: 1) try it out; 2) provide original citation information, in addition to linking to a HighBeam article; 3) avoid bare links to non-free HighBeam pages; 4) note "(subscription required)" in the citation, where appropriate. Examples are at WP:HighBeam/Citations.

If possible, can you please copy the code to Dwaipayan and Karthik's (I mean the deserving people) user page (the way you did for M.K.Gandhi barnstar). It'll be very helpful.--Tito Dutta✉18:03, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey thanks guys (slightly belated). Will do loads more fun if it becomes featured!!
Bye the way, nominate the Republic Day article for September incotm. With timed intervention, might be able to get it featured as the featured article on the main page on the next Republic Day. I already found significant amount of resources, especially journal articles on Republic Day, much more than Independence Day. Most require subscription, so email me if you need PDF copies of those.
also Pratik, please announce in incotm page that the Independence Day article is already on FAC. So it would be great if editors help out with the suggestions made in the FAC page. If someone wants to make any major edit, please suggest discussing that first in the talk page. This special needs since the article is in the FAC. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 21:09, 30 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
@Dwaipayanc: Yes sure. You go ahead and nominate it for the month of September/October. I'll support it for sure. And yes, will announce about the FAC on the mailing list as well as on the notice board when I'm back from college or get a break! Right now, I've to rush! @Tito: Aayegaa, aayegaa ;-) BPositive(talk)04:31, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Current updates: The coordinator elections will be held soon! Keep your eyes on our project in mid-August for more.
Chennai Super Kings was selected as the FA/GA of the month, but due to lack of contributors to the article, we could not pass it as a GA. We're looking forward for contributors who are interested in the topic. The only problem with the article is to fix it's references and cite more reliable sources. If you do a lot of referencing work, you're most welcome!
An IRC meetup was held to discuss future plans of the project and to discuss ideas for new articles. Seven editors were a part of it. The log of the meeting can be founded here. We hope that more such meetups will talk place.
Our portal was launched early this month. You can find it here. We congratulate our vice-coordinator, Vibhijain, for working on this. Users are welcome to suggest new ideas to re innovate the portal and make it more customized. We also have a book, Book:Indian Premier League.
Knights of IPL, a new award, has been launched. It was earlier known as IPL barnstar 1. Created by User:Strike Eagle, this is the highest award given by our community, and, hence, shall never be given for completing Tasks of the month. For completing Task of the month, please feel free to distribute another award by our communnity: IPL Barnstar. To distribute it, type {{subst:IPL Barnstar}} and save the page. For a list of people who have received Knights of IPL, please refer here.
Upon request by the lead coordinator (Dipankan001), YuviPanda has created the all new Automatic Assessment tool for WikiProject IPL. If you want to install this script, please copy the text at User:YuviPanda/common.js to your page at Special:MyPage/common.js. It is quite easy to install and will help you very much.

Hey, the FAC is becoming difficult! I am trying, although gradually, to reply to the observations made by the user IndoPug. Hopwever, this will take significant time. Meanwhile, we need to include postage stamps commemorating the Independence Day in the "popular culture" section. Here is the GoI catalog of stamps. If it is possible for you, can you go through the list, and enlist the stamps released to commemorate the Independence Day? Then, you can add at least one sentence in the article. Something like, "GoI has released many postage stamps commemorating the Independence Day, such as a stamp on 15 August 1987 celebrating 40 years of freedom, ...". If needed, can be broken into 2 sentences.
The catalog lists the stamps according to release date. So, may not be very difficult to find stamps on 15 August (and nearby dates). However, the catalog is pretty large. You can directly add to the article, or, discuss before adding the final sentence, once you have the tentative commemorative stamps list. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 15:52, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hey! I'm sorry but I've exams (+ a bunch of assignments) lined up in the coming week! :-( Hence, I've been offline and not much active in the past few days. I'll still try to find out some time if possible and work on what you've said. Till then, bubye! BPositive(talk)18:21, 25 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, infact I reverted an edit made by some IP. The edit had blanked the section "Instrumental Music Program". I restored it to the earlier version. If you see the article now, it does not have the section. Do restore it yourself. BPositive(talk)04:46, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The reason I took the whole thing out was the puffery. a "prosperous" music program? But i will reinsert a listing of the music programs offered. As there was no claim to any state championships or national championships, or participation in any big parades or halftime shows at bowl games or any other thing that might meet what the school article guidelines call encyclopedic, that is all that is needed. Btw, per the school article guidelines, the only time you would mention the director is if he has established "notability" (The Wikipedia type of notability i.e. there is an article on him in here) on his own. You see this kind of junk at school articles all the time, where some student from a particular club or sport or program, will write some big fluffy book about his favorite thing. It'll get repaired. As a matter of fact, i had to leave and left the window with the article on it to remind me to do so when I got back at it. I wasn't trying to spank you...I was just concerned that there was an edit war brewing and left you a twinkle notice more to call your attention to that fact that another editor had reverted it and explained why in the summary. The instrumental music section was over 1/4 the entire article. Kindia WP:UNDUE, don't you think? Happy editing! Gtwfan52 (talk) 20:19, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
