Ron Weinberg
Ron Weinberg is a state representative from Loveland, Colorado. A Republican, Weinberg represents Colorado House of Representatives District 51, which includes a part of Larimer County, Colorado centered on Loveland.[1] BackgroundWeinberg lives in Loveland and is the founder and owner of a business called 365 IT – Technology Solutions.[2] Originally from South Africa, Weinberg immigrated to the United States along with his family in 2002.[3] Prior to serving as a state representative, Weinberg was the chair of the Larimer County Republican Party and the chairman of the Loveland Planning Commission.[4][5] LegislatorBefore Weinburg took office, the last person elected to represent District 51 was Hugh McKean. However, he died near the end of the legislative session in 2022, just days before the general election, and was a candidate for reelection, running unopposed.[6][7] Following his death, a vacancy committee appointed his partner to fill out the last month of his term. The same vacancy committee appointed Weinberg to represent District 51 for the following General Assembly session, that is, from January 2023 to January 2025.[8] ElectionsWeinburg ran for election to the office in the 2024 elections. In the Republican primary election held June 25, 2024, he ran unopposed.[9] In the general election held November 5, 2024, Weinburg defeated Democratic Party candidate Sarah McKeen, winning 52.62% of the votes.[10] References
