Pengiran Raabi'atul Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah (born 27 October 1992) is a Bruneian data analyst and a member of the royal family of Brunei as the wife of Prince Abdul Malik, the second son of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.[1] BiographyDayangku Raabi'atul Adawiyyah was born on 27 October 1992, to Pengiran Haji Bolkiah and his wife Pengiran Hajah Noor'aismah, both of aristocratic descent. She has nine brothers. Awangku Abd Aziz Hafizuddin, her eldest brother, is employed at Royal Brunei Airlines.[2] She attended Al-Falaah School, Rimba I Primary School, Menglait Secondary School, and Rimba Secondary School. She was entrusted in 2006 to hold the position of head prefect at Pengiran Anak Putri Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah Religious School, when she was still a student.[3] As a student, she enjoyed playing squash and badminton and listening to music.[2] As a teenager, she participated in the Youth Tilawah Alquran Scheme, the national Dikir Dabai'ie competition between high schools across Brunei, and she represented her school in the religious event of reading the Qur'an, especially an event held at Jame' Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque in 2005 and Teenagen Tilawah Al-Qur'an Skim in 2008.[4] In 2013, she entered the Indonesian Miss World Muslimah beauty pageant.[4] She became interested in the IT industry, and earned certifications of proficiency for the ICT Youth Development Program in 2012–2013, including the Internet and Computing Core Certification, Microsoft Office Specialist, and Adobe Certified Certificate.[2] Her last position was System Data Analyst at BAG Networks, an IT consulting firm. She also worked at HAD Technologies as an IT instructor.[3] She has routinely accompanied her husband, Prince Abdul Malik, to diplomatic gatherings and engagements, including the August 2016 meeting with Lee Hsien Loong,[5][6] and Vivian Balakrishnan.[7] She also attends royal functions, such as Prince Abdul Mateen and Anisha Rosnah's wedding in January 2024.[8] Marriage and children![]() Between 5 and 16 April 2015, Raabi'atul Adawiyyah married Prince Abdul Malik. Their vows were exchanged on 12 April in the throne room at the Istana Nurul Iman.[9] She held a bouquet of jewels and valuable metals in the shape of flowers, and wore Christian Louboutin heels adorned with Swarovski crystals.[9] On 13 April, a royal dinner ceremony was organised for guests of the royal family, as well as foreign royals and dignitaries, including Sultan Ahmad Shah, Sultanah Kalsom Abdullah, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin, Tuanku Fauziah, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, Sultanah Noor Zahirah, Sultan Ibrahim Ismail, Raja Zarith Sofiah, Sultan Sharafuddin, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah, Raja Permaisuri Zara, Tuanku Muhriz, Tuanku Aishah Rohani, Ragad Waleed Alkurdi, Prince Saud, and ambassadors accredited to Brunei.[10] Raabi'atul Adawiyyah and Prince Abdul Malik have 3 children:
