Wikipedia in Papiamento is the Papiamento edition of the online encyclopedia Wikipedia. The Papiamento Wikipedia project has been official since March 26, 2006. As of July 6, 2020, there were about 1,981 articles on the website and more than 10,000 registered users (of which only 18 can be considered "active users").

Orthography

There are two orthographies of the Papiamento language that are officially recognized. The Aruban orthography of Papiamento, based on etymological principles, uses the letters c and o more often, while the orthography used in Curaçao and Bonaire is based on phonological principles and uses the letters k and u more often. It also differs in use of accent. Wikipedia in Papiamento allows articles in both orthographies, provided that each article maintains consistency in the orthography it uses.
