A youth product of Torino and Borgaro, Pugno joined the academy of Juventus on 3 August 2021.[2][3] On 14 September 2023, he signed his first professional contract with Jueventus until 2026.[4] He started training with the senior Juventis team after scoring 6 goals in 8 matches as a U19 to start the 2024–26 season.[5] He made his senior and professional debut as a substitute in a 1–1 Serie A tie with Lecce on 1 December 2024.[6]

Pugno is an intelligent forward who is intelligent and versatile. He has strong movement and game-reading skills, and can effectively put pressure on his opponents. He is a technically gifted striker, and can score from inside and outside the box.[7]
