Tiruchirapalli
Tiruchirappalli (bahasa Tamil : திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி) pelafalan ⓘ Tiruchirapalli , umumnya disebut Tiruchi atau Trichy (bahasa Tamil : திருச்சி) sebelumnya juga dilafalkan Trichinopoly (di bawah kekuasaan Britania) adalah kota terbesar ke-4 di negara bagian Tamil Nadu di India (setelah Chennai , Coimbatore dan Madurai ). Kota ini terletak di tengah negara bagian di tepi sungai Cauvery .
Sejarah
Tiruchirappalli dipimpin oleh Jenderal Maratha Murari Rao sejak 1741 hingga 1743, ketika diambil alih oleh Nizam dari Hyderabad setelah Pengepungan Trichinopoly (1743) .
