Dawud Wharnsby (lahir David Howard Wharnsby, 27 Juni 1972) adalah seorang penyanyi-penulis lagu Kanada, penyair, pendidik dan personaliti media. Seorang multi-instrumentalis, ia terkenal karena kerja kerasnya untuk genre nasyid berbahasa Inggris.
Karier televisi
Sebagai seorang personaliti televisi, ia telah membawakan beberapa acara atas nama Vision TV di Kanada, Badan Film Nasional Kanada, Al Huda TV (Saudi Arabia) dan BBC Skotlandia.
Ia terkenal karena dokumenter A New Life in A New Land: The Muslim Experience in Canada, yang diproduksi di Kanada dan program pendidikan anak-anak Watch Celebrations: Ramadan, yang diproduksi BBC Skotlandia.
Kehidupan pribadi
Pada 1993, David Howard Wharnsby mulai belajar tentang Al-Quran, mengganti namanya dengan "Dawud", versi Arab untuk "David" dan menambahkan nama "Ali" ke namanya. Nama "Ali" tersebut tidak dipakai lagi di dunia kariernya sejak 2003, tetapi itu tetap merupakan nama legalnya. Ia masuk Islam sejak 1993.
