ශුද්ධගිනිස්ථානය

ශුද්ධගිනිස්ථානය (ඉංග්‍රීසි: Purgatory, ලතින්: purgatorium, ඇන්ග්ලෝ-නෝමන් සහ පැරණි ප්රංශ භාෂා මගින් ඉංග්‍රීසි භාෂාවට ලැබුනු)[1] යනු ආත්මයක් පවිත්ර කිරීම හෝ පිරිසිදු කිරීම සඳහා භෞතික මරණයෙන් පසු ගමන් කරන අතරමැදි තත්වයකි. පොදු සාදෘශ්‍යයක් වන්නේ උදුනක ඇති රත්‍රන් වලින් අපද්‍රව්‍ය ඉවත් කිරීමයි.[2]

කතෝලික ධර්මයේ, ශුද්ධගිනිස්ථානය යන්නෙන් අදහස් කරන්නේ කරුණාවේ රාජ්‍යයේ මියගිය අයගේ අවසාන පවිත්‍ර කිරීම වන අතර ඔවුන් තුළ ඉතිරි වන්නේ "ස්වර්ගයේ ප්‍රීතියට ඇතුළු වීමට අවශ්‍ය ශුද්ධකම"[3] පමණි.

එය විනාශයට පත් වූවන්ගේ දඬුවමට වඩා සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම වෙනස් වන අතර ගැලවීම සඳහා පව් කමා කිරීම හා සම්බන්ධ නොවේ. සමාව දෙන ලද පුද්ගලයෙකුට මෙලොවදී උද්‍යෝගිමත් පුණ්‍යකර්මයෙන් සහ වෙනත් ආකාරයකින් පවිත්‍ර කිරීමේ "කාලික (එනම් සදාකාලික නොවන) දඬුවමෙන්" ඔහුගේ "සත්වයන් කෙරෙහි ඇති සෞඛ්‍ය සම්පන්න නොවන බැඳීමෙන්" නිදහස් විය හැකිය.[3]:1472,1473
