The NextGen Series 2011/12 was het eerste seizoen van het Europese voetbaltoernooi voor jeugdelftallen The NextGen Series.
Opzet
De opzet is vergelijkbaar met de UEFA Champions League. De 16 elftallen speelden tot de winterstop in groepen van vier teams. Daarna startte de knock-outfase.
Deelnemers
De volgende clubs namen deel aan de eerste editie van The NextGen Series. De elftallen mochten enkel uit spelers bestaan die op of na 1 januari 1992 geboren waren.

Knock-outfase
Kwartfinales
- Tottenham Hotspur trok zich vrijwillig terug uit het toernooi nadat duidelijk was geworden dat zij de toernooi-regels hadden overtreden. Liverpool ging daardoor door naar de halve finale.[2]
Halve finales
Finale
- De penalty van Nick de Bondt werd in eerste instantie gestopt. Echter moest de penalty overgenomen worden.
- Simone Pecorini kreeg na de strafschoppenserie een rode kaart.
