• This template expects at least one parameter: the user's username. If not provided, this defaults to "Example".
• If the page name is not identical to the username, enter the page name as a second parameter. If User:JohnDoe is the topic of "John W. Doe", use {{notable user|JohnDoe|John W. Doe}} to link the article to the user.
• The sequence can be overriden by the use of the variables User= and Article= : both {{notable user|User=JohnDoe|Article=John W. Doe}} and {{notable user|Article=John W. Doe|User=JohnDoe}} will be processed correctly.
