Pademi covid-19 has disrupted the learning process conventionally. Then a solution is needed to solve the problem. Online learning is one of the alternatives that can solve the problem. The purpose of the research was to obtain an overview of the implementation of online learning at SMAN 1 Nusa Penida as an effort to suppress the spread of covid-19 in schools. The research subjects were students of SMAN 1 Nusa Penida. Data is collected through WhatsApp groups. Data analysis is done using data collection analysis techniques. The results showed that: (1) students already have some basic facilities needed to participate in online learning; (2) online learning has flexibility in its implementation and is able to encourage the emergence of self-reliance and motivation to be more active in learning; and (3) distancing and minimizing the appearance of crowds of students so as to reduce the potential spread of Covid-19 in secondary school environments. Weak supervision of students, lack of strong signals in remote areas, and high quota costs are challenges in online learning. Increasing self-reliance on learning, interest and motivation, courage to express ideas and questions are other advantages of online learning. The challenge faced by Hindu religious education teachers in this era is to be willing and able to upgrade their knowledge and skills in the field of technology, especially information technology at all times; While the opportunities available to creative and innovative religious teachers are the availability of space to find and develop various startegi and learning methodologies that can attract students' interests and talents in religious learning, including Hindu learning.
