大西洋数十年規模振動（たいせいようすうじゅうねんきぼしんどう、Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation：AMO）とは北大西洋で海水温や気圧の平均的状態が、10～20年を単位とした2単位（数十年）周期で変動する現象である。大西洋数十年周期振動とも言う。

海洋と大気の相互作用が原因で海水温と気圧が連動して変化するもので、テレコネクションの一種である。

数十年に渡る気圧や海水温のデータから平均値を求めると、北大西洋では約10年単位でその値が大きく上下に揺れる。

そのメカニズムには、まだ詳しく解明されていないところがある。

AMO指数とその変化

AMOの状態を客観的に評価するため、AMO指数というものが算出されている。北大西洋の表面海水温（SST）の平年値との差から算出している。指数が負のときは海水温が低く、正のときは高い。地球温暖化による線形変化の影響は取り除かれているが非線形変化は取り除くのが難しいため、多少の誤差が生じうるとされる。

AMO指数の変化は、北大西洋の熱塩循環との関連が深いとされる。ただし信頼性の高い海洋観測のデータはあまり多くないため、不確実性は残る。

またAMO指数の変化は北半球の多くの地域の気温や降水量、特に北アメリカやヨーロッパの夏の気候、ブラジル北東部やサヘルの雨などに関連性がある。

アメリカではAMO指数が正のとき中西部や南西部で旱魃の頻度や継続期間が増し、負のときは逆になる。ダストボウルなどの歴史的旱魃の多くは、AMO指数が正の時に起きている。またフロリダ州や太平洋岸北西部ではこの逆で、指数が正の時に降水量が多くなる。

大西洋赤道域の海水温とこの海域のハリケーンの発達に関しては多くの議論があるが、意見の分かれるところである。
