アメリカ合衆国フロリダ州オーランド在住。勤務先であるセントラルフロリダ大学ローゼン・ホスピタリテイ経営学部は過去14年間で急成長し、2009年時点学生数で全米第1位(3,600名)の規模を持つ観光・ホスピタリテイ経営学部である。Rosen College of Hospitality Management, University of Central Florida。教鞭においてはStreaming Video 方式での授業配信を先駆け、学部内では唯一ストリーミングビデオ方式の教鞭実施。また2013年に観光・ホスピタリテイ経営学部学科では世界発のMOOC(Massive Open Online Course) 方式の世界に向けた無料大量発信型で「産業連関と観光サテライト勘定に関する授業」を実施し、その後世界観光機関(UNWTO)との共同マーケテイングにより、累積の受講者は3,500名超で、この分野でも世界の先駆者。
2008年 前任者退任により、暫定副学部長に就任し、学部運営担当。英文専門教科書『Quantitative Tourism Industry Analysis: Introduction to Input-Output, Social Accounting Matrix Modeling and Tourism Satellite Accounts』(定量的観光産業分析)を英国出版社より世界同時出版、スイス・ローザンヌホテル経営学校でも教鞭を振るう。観光庁観光統計に関する国際動向調査検討委員に任命。
MOOC(無料大量オンラインコース)によるTourism Industry Analysis (Introduction to Input-Output, Social Accounting Matrix and Tourism Satellite Accounts) を世界に向けて英語で発信。世界の大学観光・ホスピタリテイ経営学部学科で初の取組み。以降年に一度4回実施。世界観光機関(UNWTO)のTSA・観光統計部門からも世界向けに当授業の案内送付したため、延べ受講者は世界の観光局・中央銀行・統計局を中心に3,500名超。
