ハプログループE (mtDNA)（ハプログループE (ミトコンドリアDNA)、英: Haplogroup E (mtDNA)）とは、分子人類学で用いられる、人類のミトコンドリアDNAハプログループ（型集団）の分類のうち、「M9」を祖先に持ち、3027, 3705, 7598, 13626, 16390の変異により定義されるものである。

分布

ハプログループEは海域東南アジアにおいて広く見られる[4]。姉妹群のM9a（日本でも見られる）が分布する[4][5]東アジア大陸部にはほとんど見られない。特にオーストロネシア語族話者によく見られ、他の語族の話者には稀である。台湾、フィリピン、インドネシア、マレーシア、パプアニューギニア沿岸部、太平洋諸島の特にチャモロ人でみられる[4][6][7][8][9][10]。

下位系統のうち、E1bとE2aは海域東南アジアでみられ、E1aとE2bは台湾で見られる[1]。

起源

かつてはスンダランド起源説[1]も唱えられていたが、2014年、中国南東部の亮島で発見された8,000年前の人骨がハプログループEに属していることが判明した。このことから、ハプログループEは11,000-8,000年前に福建省沿岸部で誕生し、新石器時代の6,000年前に台湾に入り、オーストロネシア語族の拡散と共に台湾から東南アジアの島々に広がっていったと推定されている[2]。
