L'Arbre généalogique des rois Shilluk exposé ci-dessous reconstitue la lignée des souverains du peuple Shilluk depuis son fondateur, le roi Nyikang jusqu'à son actuel successeur, le roi Kwongo wad Dak intronisé en 1992. Les dates avant 1875 sont des approximations faute de sources écrites fiables.
Pour chaque souverain, la première date indique l'année de son intronisation (intr) tandis que la seconde se rapporte à son décès (†). L'ordre de la succession est indiquée par les nombres (1) à (34).
L'accession à la charge royale est déterminée par deux règles généalogiques interdépendantes. L'accédent doit premièrement être un membre masculin du Kwareth, le clan de royal fondé par Nyikang et deuxièmement, il doit obligatoirement être un Nyireth c'est-à-dire un fils de roi ; un petit-fils de roi ne peut en aucun cas prétendre à la charge royale si son propre père n'a pas règné.
