Wang Yilin
Wang Yilin (Chinese: 王宜林; pinyin: Wáng Yílín; born September 1956) is a Chinese business and oil magnate who was the chairman of the Board of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and the chairman of the Board of PetroChina. Wang, as the country's most influential business leader, has accompanied Chinese Communist Party general secretary Xi Jinping during many state visits, including to the UK, France, Kazakhstan, Russia, UAE etc.[1][2][3][4] BiographyIn April 2011, Wang assumed the role of Chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation.[citation needed] In November 2012, he was elected member of the CCP's 18th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.[5] Wang Yilin began to serve Chairman of CNPC in April 2015, and he started to hold a concurrent post as Chairman of PetroChina in June 2015. In July 2017, Wang Yiling, the Chairman of CNPC, serves as the head of the Chinese National Delegation to the World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul.[citation needed] On March 13, Wang was elected co-chairman of the Economic Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (PCC 2018).[citation needed] DownfallIn July 2024, Wang was expelled from the CCP for discipline violations.[6] References
