Vettichira, Chandanakkavu is a town in Malappuram district in the state of Kerala, India.[1]

As of 2001^[update] India census, Vettichira had a population of 19414 with 9586 males and 9828 females.[1]

Chandanakkavu

Chandanakkavu is located 13 km. North-east of Valanchery and about 5 km. south of Vettichira in Kurumbathur village in north Kerala (Malabar), India.[2] It is the birthplace of the 16th-century poet, Melpathur Bhattathiripad.
