The Stig - temperament additionYou removed this section form the article about The Stig and I have re-instated it, please in future give more comprehensive reasons of why you would like to remove it before deleting it it, or first discuss it in the discussion section it is only polite. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.244.223.82 (talk) 17:11, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
Wits Solar CarI agree with the previous statement about the Stig, I spent over an hour this morning on the wits solar car page just for you to delete everything. It demotivates me to do any Wikipedia editing if I know everything will just be deleted without any discussion as to why its being deleted. I know I may be wrong but without discussion I won't learn so then what is the point wasting my time? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bradley Rautenbach (talk • contribs) 21:29, 20 September 2013 (UTC) Automobile ownershipPlease be advised the per WP:PROD, articles that have been discussed at AfD are not candidates for prod. Accordingly, I have removed the prod tag from Automobile ownership, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the prod template back to the article. Instead, feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! I removed it Again for several reasons: 1. Your headline Does Not have a Link. Unless you can add a proper news link, DO NOT re-add it. 2. Some of the text is in bold. The Bold Is Unnecessary and DOES NOT need to be added. 3. December 4th has not occurred yet. Please take these reasons into consideration before re-adding your headline. Thank you. --Radiokid1010 (talk) 22:22, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Wrong desk?Hi, I think you may have posted this response to the wrong question as it doesn't concern the sun going supernova in any way. This sometimes happens with the question one below or one above in which case I may just move it myself, but this time I'm not sure where precisely the question belongs, it looks like it may even be the wrong desk. South African Language IDHi Zunaid. I noticed your helpful response on the Entertainment Refdesk about the meaning of "ke nako" and was wondering if you could answer a question I posted on the Language RefDesk, which basically got the response: "Ask somebody from South Africa." In my broadcaster's coverage of the World Cup (ESPN USA), an announcer with a South-African-English accent welcomes the viewers back after a commercial with a short utterance from some (presumably spoken in South Africa) language. Here's a YouTube clip. You'll find examples at about 0:40, 1:10, and 1:20 in. Can you identify the language(s) and what any of these examples mean? Thank you!--el Aprel (facta-facienda) 21:57, 20 June 2010 (UTC)
Image registration for World Cup burst-mode imagesHello Zunaid, I have offered to perform additional processing on your source image, even though you marked the thread "resolved". Do you have original high-resolution images? Otherwise I will do my best with the frames from the current GIF. Nimur (talk) 20:54, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
It is done (or should be in a few more minutes). For interest's sake how does your code work? I would guess you compute the correlation between images and adjust angle, zoom and position to maximise it? Or is it more complicated than that? A quick-and-dirty solution could possibly be coded up quickly in MATLAB, although something more sophisticated would obviously take much longer. Sounds like an interesting signal processing problem; takes me back to my undergrad and post-grad thesis days. Let me know when it's done, I'd like to see the result. Zunaid 09:40, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi ZunaidHi Zunaid. Why did you reput the question? Please see this link - [1]. THe person who asked the question removed it later on. I didn't remove it. I wasn't the first to remove it. Someone else did. Like I said, please see the link. Thanks dude. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.72.226.152 (talk) 06:58, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

The DYK project (nominate) 00:02, 3 October 2010 (UTC) Separating vehicles by generation rather than powertrain or trim levelHi, I am just dropping a note to inform you of a discussion currently taking place here (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Automobiles#Mass article merger). In summary, WikiProject Automobiles is soliciting opinions based on the separation of automobile articles by generation, as opposed to other means such as powertrain or trim level. For example, rather than having an article on the Audi S3, the Audi A3 article would be split into two sub-articles (one for each generation), and the S3 content would be moved to the appropriate location. This would place automobiles with common engineering in the same place, as opposed to grouping by a mere marketing term. Since separate articles are always provided to detail the powertrain (engine and transmission, et cetera), the partitioning of articles based on this principle is superfluous (the powertrain is only briefly discussed in the article about the car). The reason for giving the actual powertrain a separate article is to cut down on overlap: engines and transmissions are almost universally used in more than one model. This message will be/has been posted on the talk page of all editors who contributed to the previous discussion at Talk:Toyota Camry Hybrid. Taqi RafatThanks very much for your cleanup work! I'd been putting off dealing with the duplication, because I've never experienced that problem before and wasn't sure how to handle it. I'll see if I can figure out how I got that reference and let you know. Languagehat (talk) 16:43, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
refLinks.pyHi there Zunaid, thanks for efforts to improve refs. However, I noticed in some of your edits you appear to be using the refLinks python script, I just had a couple of questions about that. Firstly, are you running this as an automatic script (e.g. not reviewing the edits before saving them, regardless of if they are reviewed afterwards). In addition, some of your edits, like this one, seem to be replacing names of already named references with autogeneratedn, this is not advisable, as it reduces readability. Thanks, - Kingpin13 (talk) 20:03, 19 May 2011 (UTC)

In doing this I felt that it was clearer if we had dimorphism separate from polymorphism as there is no real overlap. I would welcome comments from you as you merged them originally. See User:NHSavage/polymorphism_merger for a draft of the two pages.--NHSavage (talk) 11:35, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

One chapter of my thesis will center around Wikipedia's notability policy; I'm particularly curious about the inclusionism vs. deletionism debate that has played out among Wikipedia editors. I see that you're listed among the earliest members of the Association of Deletionist Wikipedians, and you're one of the few that are still active today. If you see this message, would you mind if I sent you a few questions (via email or right on here) about your views on deletionism and how you approach the question of notability? Thanks so much! |
