User talk:YttriumShrewHi thereHi YttriumShrew, I am insterested in finding out how you calculated this ranking. I want to keep an updated list of the top 25 most read articles in wikipedia for a project I am starting; I would like to help with maintaining this page as well, if you guys need any help to keep a stable periodicity. Any how, hope to hear back from you, it would be very helpful. I tried googling how to get the info, but had no luck. Thank you Regards Winston PS: my email is maxpowell23@gmail.com — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.174.147.87 (talk) 20:02, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

"Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. It’s not a big issue; just so you know. Greymouth railway stationAs it's hard to imagine a NZ railway line going to Kent, I assume the link to Canterbury is an error. I would ordinarily just fix this myself but not entirely sure of which Canterbury you mean. --Ykraps (talk) 08:24, 4 June 2022 (UTC) Moving DYK nominationsHi, users should generally not move nominations to the "Approved" page. A bot will take care of it when appropriate. In this case, it was not yet appropriate for Template:Did you know nominations/Selig, wem Christus auf dem Weg begegnet to be moved. The last icon on the nom must be either I see you've now added a tick. Thanks for taking care of it! MANdARAX XAЯAbИAM 22:31, 18 June 2022 (UTC) DYK for Greymouth railway stationOn 23 June 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Greymouth railway station, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that traffic at Greymouth railway station increased significantly after the opening of the Otira Tunnel? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Greymouth railway station. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Greymouth railway station), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. — Amakuru (talk) 00:02, 23 June 2022 (UTC) NZ PMs FLCGood work on this, I left some comments. Congratulations, YttriumShrew! The list you nominated, List of prime ministers of New Zealand, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best lists on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived. This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured list. Keep up the great work! Cheers, PresN (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:25, 29 August 2022 (UTC)

TFL notificationHi, YttriumShrew. I'm just posting to let you know that List of prime ministers of New Zealand – a list that you have been heavily involved with – has been chosen to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured list for October 7. The TFL blurb can be seen here. If you have any thoughts on the selection, please post them on my talk page or at TFL talk. An ipv6 editor deleted it but the change felt censorious, and my reflex action was to defend the good faith efforts of other editors and restore the word. Anon deleted it again, I thought it was funny that someone would care to argue that Dr. Oz was not a quack[2] and choose this hill to die on. It is both funny* and true, also easily proven by even a brief search. (* Maybe only amusing rather than actually funny.) The anon demanded a source and I provided it[3] but I fully expect they will find some other weak justification for removing the word again. But back to my first point, since you wrote it, do you care to keep it? If you don't care I'll drop it. If you do care another approach might be to remove the word quack and instead rephrase the text to skewer Dr Oz in some other even more harsh way, maybe point out his incompetence and unsuitability by highlighting his failure to beat a stroke victim? It was your entry, rewrite or don't as you see fit. I just find the Top 25 report provides an interesting perspective on the world every week, and not everyone is going to like the humor. -- 109.76.192.23 (talk) 00:10, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

I was most intrigued by what it is that generates much traffic for Kiwi pages. It pays to be monarchy or an actor. Anyway, what do you think? Schwede66 02:32, 13 January 2023 (UTC) Ah well, here's the NZ Top 50 in table format: Notification@YttriumShrew:, As per your requested move on the article named "Left Democratic Front", it was moved on November 2021. But an user recently reverted the move. Although LDF did exist in Maharashtra and Manipur, they're not notable and defunct as of now. I request you to give your opinion and review the moving which was done without any discussion. Thank you. Think about joining other Wikipedians and Wikimedians in Golden Bay / Mohua! Details are on the meetup page. There's heaps of interesting stuff to work on e.g. the oldest extant waka or New Zealand's oldest ongoing legal case. Or you may spend your time taking photos and then upload them. Golden Bay is hard to get to and the airline flying into Tākaka uses small planes, so we are holding some seats from and to Wellington and we are offering attendees a $200 travel subsidy to help with costs. Be in touch with Schwede66 if this event interests you and you'd like to discuss logistics. Schwede66 09:14, 13 November 2023 (UTC) ArbCom 2023 Elections voter messageHello!
