AfD discussion notices

On the AfD page, I notice you do a lot of "Note: This discussion has been included in the", how do you do these notices? For future reference, I want to save time for other editors and do it myself. Svampesky (talk) 19:11, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

There is a script that semi-automates the addition of these notices (the notices themselves are generated by {{subst:Deletion sorting}} and {{subst:Deletion sorting/multi}}, but adding those manually can be cumbersome); that is what I use. WCQuidditch ☎ ✎ 19:17, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

"Semi-automates"? Does that mean it doesn't add it to the deleting sorted page automatically? I've added it an AfD I ran to the page manually Special:Diff/1228535209. Was I supposed to do this? I don't want it to clash with a bot. Svampesky (talk) 19:33, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

The script does automatically add the nomination to the desired deletion sorting pages. "Semi-automates" simply means the script performs all applicable edits to all applicable pages, but they are attributed to the user running the script; no bots are involved at any point. Question about sorting lists

Greetings. A question for you: Why add this AfD in the deletion sorting lists for Television, Japan, California, Hawaii, and Virginia? And was this addition an obligation of the nominator, i.e. me? Thanks in advance. -The Gnome (talk) 18:03, 12 October 2024 (UTC)

I generally go by the article content when doing deletion sorting; she has acted on television and has resided in those places during her lifetime. While sorting can definitely be done by the nominator (for instance, while I use a separate script when sorting already extant-nominations, when nominating via Twinkle it includes the ability to place it in the sorting lists right then and there), as far as I am aware there is no obligation to do so. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
