MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC) ArbCom 2019 election voter messageWays to improve Joseph BalmerHello, Von Bern, Thank you for creating Joseph Balmer. I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer. signed, Rosguill talk 03:41, 20 January 2020 (UTC) thank you Rosguill appreciate your comments. If you feel that the page on Joseph Balmer is unjustified please feel free to take it down. I have cited all sources available - Joseph Balmer was an Indianistic expert whose expertise on Native Americana and Western Americana history has been cited and acknowledged in a number of publications that I all cited as far as accessible to me. I am not quite sure of the meaning of conflict of interest, I have no connection to Joseph Balmer, nor to his legal heirs. I did seek the latter out, notably Josef (Sepp) Balmer, the subject's surviving son to interview him and to obtain vital details on his father. I am USA based, Joseph Balmer was a Swiss. Joseph Balmer is particularly notable for his vast expertise on the subject matter and having been utilized as a purveyor of source information by notable scholars and authors such as Stanley Vestal, George E. Hyde, Mari Sandoz and Kingsley M. Bray (all by the way have their own wikipedia pages). There is also a German language Wikipedia page on Joseph Balmer as he not only contributed to his English speaking peers, but also researchers and authors in the German speaking world. Thank you for letting me know best regards Von Bern To Von Bern Your Page on Joseph Balmer is most justified and appreciated. I am researching George E. Hyde you had correspondence with Balmer. As I understand it Balmer's correspondence from Hyde are in the possession of Kingsley Bray who I am trying to contact to get permission to look at the correspondence. Were you able to contact Joef Balmer for an interview. I would also be most interested in interviewing him on what he might know of the relationship of his father and George Hyde. Please let me know if you have contact information available. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Native American actors, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lakota. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
