I'm sorry, I didn't realize that might be considered an attack page. I've heard that phrase used a lot recently in media and commentary. It seemed like a relevant epithet, even if it might have seemed disparaging. - Gilgamesh (talk) 15:23, 5 September 2009 (UTC) Nominations open for the Military history WikiProject coordinator electionThe Military history WikiProject coordinator selection process has started; to elect the coordinators to serve for the next six months. Thank you. ycdtot/slime and nikelodianI suspect my article was a good candidate for speedy deletion, however, the point I was trying to make was that the green slime of ycdtot carried seemed to have carried over to nickelodian for a # of years (may still be a nick staple now...haven't kept up), so it is not taken care of by mere reference back to the ycdtot article section on slime. Hope something can be done to fix this.Slarty2 (talk) 20:18, 14 September 2009 (UTC) Ford reviewHi Ultra. You were recently working on the Gerald Ford review at FAR. Speedy deletion questionHi, I am trying to post and article for The Titan Agency and keep getting a "speedy deletion" message and have made several edits to follow the guidelines but can't seem to get approval. ThanksHey...I wasn't planning on thanking anyone for voting in my favor until after the matter (to avoid conveying a message that I was "campaigning", but I wanted to thank you for your support. It's been a very rough day with a lot of difficult questions from users trying to poke holes through my request in places I never thought could be criticized, and seeing the first supportive vote of the day made my day much better. :) Bob the Wikipedian (talk • contribs) 21:55, 23 September 2009 (UTC) Grint blockOops, my bad. Baba Faqir ChandToday I made many changes in the article. I have worked on tone and language. It is mild beginning. Please see it and if possible hand it over to somebody for language. Bhagat.bb (talk)--B3 02:44, 6 October 2009 (UTC) Thanks dearYou have done a very good work. You have wikified the article to my satisfaction as well. A line or two will be adjusted shortly. Mean while I am giving you a link of Hindi Wikipedia where Ashish Bhatnagar (आशीष भटनागर) had brought a photo of Baba Faqir Chand. Similarly I also pasted one photo of Manavta Mandir after learning the procedure from Bhatnagar.(http://hi.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%BE%E0%A4%AC%E0%A4%BE_%E0%A4%AB%E0%A4%95%E0%A5%80%E0%A4%B0_%E0%A4%9A%E0%A4%82%E0%A4%A6) I am new on English wiki. Baba Faqir ChandI have repaired some of the references in Baba Faqir Chand which could not be opened of read properly. Please have a look. Books referred, but without ISBN numbers, are very old (when ISBN numbers were not in vogue in India). Their reprints are not available yet. I think you can verify more references now. The wording "Through the glass" is redirected straight to the Through Glass article. There is a film out with the name Through the glass and thus the redirect is no longer valid. Is there any way you could please assist in removing this redirect? Thank you. Amsaim (talk) 23:09, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
Ultra handshakeYou penned it, you said it and you have done it. Superb. It seems Baba Faqir Chand revisited the article. I have given more verifiable references and also deleted some. This article, it seems, is now based on David C. Lane's book which has been quoted frequently. I had to quote it along with other non-verifiable references as well. Please have a look. There was an element of surprise in your message when you said that you had tinkered with Hindi. I have not noticed yet but I shall see your art.--Bhagat.bb (talk)--B3 00:34, 14 October 2009 (UTC)

This page is about to be deleted because I am not notable enough to warrant an entry. Though I have made an impact on the scholarship of Maya Deren, with a published website and research published in UC Press Maya Deren and the American Avantgarde ed by the world renowned Bill Nichols, and am on IMDB for experimental work - the niche nature of my work unfortunately is going to make me redundant. Sorry for the little people that work hard to bring quality discussions of film and film artists. I have learned a lot about Wikipedia in 24 hours, and honestly, if this had come up in 2007 it would have been more appropriate and appreciated then two years later, based on incurring the rath of Swedish wikiadmins that thought I ignored them when I removed tags about "name dropping" with verifiable info on film artists I have interviewed. I have once reverted such an IP-edit, and added WP:V in my revert edit summary. The ip-edits come right back and add the same unsourced information into the article. As you know, wikipedia does not allow original research, which is exactly what this ip edit is adding. The article has 4 reference, and none of these 4 references confirm the data from the ip-edits. Yup, that's me, and although I didn't upload the article, I did edit it, but not as extensively as the current tag suggests. If you look at the article's history, you'll see they were all small tweaks: adding the pronunciation, an image, fixing spellings ... stuff like that. What I'm wondering is this: if you were to undo all my tweaks and roll back to the original version, could the "autobiography" tag be removed? Deletion of Terminology for the Description of DynamicsWhy do you delete my page? You give CSD#A7 as reason. But, this article is about an ontology, i.e. a computer artefact (written in OWL). Wikipedia:CSD#A7 states: "This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people, organizations, and individual animals themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software, or other creative works.". IMHO, the second part of this sentence (the "not" part) applies to my article. Thus the criterion A7 does not hold. --ChristianKnuepfer (talk) 17:01, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Query about ACE templateHi Ultra, thanks for your note on my talk page. I've inserted the template into Kmweber's questions page, which had only individual questions. I'll do the same for Fritz. Chutznik has copied over the original page, not the ACEQuestions template, and answered most of the questions <sigh>. I've alerted the candidate to the problem and suggested a cut-and-paste job into the proper set of questions. One query: should the intro of the template be trimmed so it no longer contains the full information directed at those asking the questions in the previous stage of the election? It seems to be a diversion now. For example: Wikipedia:Arbitration_Committee_Elections_December_2009/Candidate_statements/Kmweber/Questions_for_the_candidate. Thanks. Important notice about VOTE 3 in the CDA pollYou are receiving this message as you have voted in VOTE 3 at the Community de-Adminship 'Proposal Finalization' Poll. It has been pointed out that VOTE 3 was confusing, and that voters have been assuming that the question was about creating an actual two-phase CDA process. The question is merely about having a two-phase poll on CDA at the eventual RfC, where the community will have their vote (eg a "yes/no for CDA” poll, followed a choice of proposal types perhaps). As I wrote the question, I'll take responsibility for the confusion. It does make sense if read through to the end, but it certainly wasn't as clear as it should have been, or needed to be! Please amend your vote if appropriate - it seems that many (if not most) people interpreted the question in the way that was not intended. DGG ( talk ) 20:51, 9 February 2010 (UTC) Your VOTE 2 vote at CDAHi Ultraexactzz, you are receiving this message as you voted in VOTE 2 at the recent Community de-Adminship 'Proposal Finalization' Poll. Unfortunately, there is a hitch regarding the "none" vote that can theoretically affect all votes. 1) Background of VOTE 2: In a working example of CDA; ater the 'discussion and polling phase' is over, if the "rule of thumb" baseline percentage for Support votes has been reached, the bureaucrats can start to decide whether to desysop an admin, based in part on the evidence of the prior debate. This 'baseline' has now been slightly-adjusted to 65% (from 70%) per VOTE 1. VOTE 2 was asking if there is a ballpark area where the community consensus is so strong, that the bureaucrats should consider desysopping 'automatically'. This 'threshold' was set at 80%, and could change pending agreement on the VOTE 2 results. This was VOTE 2;
This is the VOTE 2 question without any ambiguity;
2) What was wrong with VOTE 2? Since the poll, it has been suggested that ambiguity in the term "none at all" could have affected some of the votes. Consequently there has been no consensus over what percentage to settle on, or how to create a new compromise percentage. The poll results are summarised here. 3) How to help: Directly below this querying message, please can you;
I realise that many of you clarified your meaning after your initial vote, but the only realistic way to move forward is to be as inclusive as possible in this vote query. Sorry for the inconvenience, Matt Lewis (talk) 14:55, 12 February 2010 (UTC)

I was about to create an entry for Aces of ANSI Art, when I noticed that you had previously deleted an entry with the same name. Do you remember why? Specifically, did you delete the article because it lacked depth or because you judged the topic to be of insufficient importance? The Aces, or AAA, are noted as being the first confirmable ANSI group back in the late eighties, according to the Computer art scene entry. I was going to research the topic of the art scene further, and I had planned to create a new entry for the AAA. But, I could just create a new sub-section on the Computer art scene entry. Let me know, so I don't waste time one something that's going to get a speedy deletion. Contact me on my Discussion page or respond here. Thanks. Wow, thanks for the quick response. Yes, I'd appreciate it if you would restore what was there to my userspace. I probably won't use it, but I'll look it over. If I don't have a decent article cobbled together by the time I hit the sack tonight, I'll nominate it for deletion myself. But I don't think that'll happen. I've just watched a good documentary that the AAA figures prominently into, and I think I can find some decent supporting materials. I'm a bit of an Internet history buff, so I enjoy writing this sort of stuff. Thanks for your help. KingpinBot's AFDBIO listingSure thing, it already skips any page beginning with "Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/" (I was having problems with this before, and decided it was too difficult to try and find the transcluded AfD subpage which was causing it) so it was pretty simply to add Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/In closing. Hopefully that fixes it, if not let me know.
