Adva Center wikification

The first thing that jumps out is the layout. You should have a short lead (WP:LEAD) that summmarizes the article and then the rest should be broken into a section or two. I would add wikilinks to several terms such as Policy analysis, Social movement. Should isreali be capitalized. Click on the links in the wikification tag at the top and that should give you more help. You may want to add a see also section. Hello, I added the notability tag because as the article exists right now I do not not believe that you have provided enough reliable, and independent of subject, sources. For example Haaretz (good) personal blog (not always bad, but not always good - Eli Eshed). I think that adding a few more news/scholarly/peer sources will solidify her general notability. List of Israel Prize recipients

I note that on 23 May 2009, you corrected the names of six recipients of the Israel Prize (in the lists according to year). As you may have noticed from the History of the site, I have been occupied recently towards expanding the details of the site to include ultimately the names of all recipients. As to the name changes made by you, I agree with your spelling of five of the names. As to the sixth, I have reverted the spelling (from Michel Confino) to Michael Confino, which I believe is the correct spelling in English, as a general Internet search will reveal, and is the name under which his books are published. I have also amended the other five names in the alphabetical list of names, in accordance with your spelling. Do you know much about this debate? It has become a hot issue at the Jesus article and the Yeshu article, where a couple of editors insist Yeshu=Jesus. It is my impression there is actually some real debate about this, but I am not expert. Can you speak to this in a well-informed way ... or do you know other editors who could? Hi. The page has several issues. Firstly, it's not clear if it is about the person or about his restaurants. In either case, we're very strict here on requiring adequate establishment of WP:NOTABILITY which must meet our criteria for WP:BLP (living persons) or WP:ORG for companies. Both must meet general notability at WP:GNG The fact that he got 32 Mitchelin stars may mean that he is notable, but it must be asserted by sufficient press coverage in WP:RELIABLE SOURCES. If you can meet these criteria, it would be fine,, so I have removed the CSD and convert ited to a PROD. (2) overeemphasis of changes of corporate staff, which are not of encyclopedic significance (the ceo is, but not others unless a really major company) (3)statements about therapeutic usefulness not documented in the refs. e.g, autism. Like all the news articles, failure to give the actual results from the trials, which fo the key trial in JAMA-N, that the 70% who responded still had functional decline, but only 3/4 as fast, which, as the article says , is at the borderline of possible clinical significance. (5)it's curious that when the results of the trial were announced, the stock went down. Competent investors in this field know how to read scientific articles. (6) They also know how to read financial statements, and know that tho the prose will be as optimistic as possible, all possible negative factors must be said. The last 10K talked extensively about the competition, & the facto that because of the Orphan designation, only one firm can succeed.

I should mention, that dealing with articles on biotech firms who do not yet have a commercial product is quite difficult, and there are few established standards, because most sources are subject to objections under WP:NCORP. And another part of the problem is that lay sources are not reliable for biomedicine, but fortunately you do have one very good source. BTW, check the article-- I modified the explanation I gave. Times of Israel: that's an excerpt from his book. It's not about him. Yes, there's a capsule bio... and who wrote that? From the way it describes Mr. Greenberg's immediate family, I think we can safely conclude that Mr. Greenberg wrote it himself.

IndieReview: that's an interview. Interviews are good for facts but terrible for notability.

Ha'aretz: not about Mr. Greenberg. It mentions him. "44, a Texas native who immigrated to Israel in 1990", "independent marketing consultant who lives in the central city of Kadima", "spent four years writing his novel and didn't want to wait", and then moves on to the Kindle store and free downloads and other authors and e-publishing in general.

SDJW: not about Mr. Greenberg, it's about his book.

So: five sources, of which four are not useful and the fifth is... maybe sort of halfway useful.

Plus, all those awards... I'm willing to be convinced that the awards bestowed by BookMarketingProfits, by BeverlyHillsBookAwards (sponsored by "Smarketing"), and by ReadersFavorite ("It’s a fact. Awards grant instant credibility and influence book sellers and buyers alike!") are anything more than marketing gimmicks and shams, but it'll take a lot of convincing. Not how it works. Having published a notable work does not make an author notable, and being by a notable author does not make a notable work. There may be five good reliable sources that establish notabiltiy for Mr. Greenberg, but you supplied none of them. And never confuse "notable" with "important". I would further point out that the Journal-Gazette piece isn't about Mr Greenberg's book, and neither is the Ha'aretz piece. IndieReview seems to be pretty much a group promotional effort. I am not quite sure what you meant here "how do you know that"? Do you mean whether full professors are notable or not? This is written in WP:NPROF, the only reason somebody would be eligible just based on the position is WP:NPROF#5 "The person has held a named chair appointment or distinguished professor appointment at a major institution of higher education and research, or an equivalent position in countries where named chairs are uncommon." so this means (i) major institution and (ii) named prof and (iii) full professor which would make them automatically notable. Ways to improve Ya’ara Keydar

The page reads as an extensive resume and notability of its subject is questioned per WP:NACADEMIC notability criteria. It appears the main point of recognition in news coverage is Vanity Fair's selection of an exhibition the subject curated as "one of the 15 exhibitions in the world not to be missed in 2018" according to a single fashion editor, which in and of itself is not sufficient criterion for notability. Sources are mostly routine coverage that do not appear to substantiate the subject's influence beyond a career similar to that of thousands curators worldwide.

Ppt91, please read the sources closer and meticulously, she is less academic, and shouldn't be judge as one, she is a curator. The curator's main creations' are the exhibitions he creates. 1) Keydar's exhibitions got dozens of deep-full coverage from major media outlets (I brought a handful of them, especially in English, there are a lot more, in many languages). 2) The exhibitions are presented in established museums and galleries. 3) All the facts are based on sources, I added them in the footnotes. 4) She wrote 5 exhibition books, one biography book, and two academic articles. @Tzahy Thanks for your reply. I know it might be disappointing given the amount of work you have put into the article, but unfortunately this is not enough to pass WP:NACADEMIC and WP:BIO criteria. Note directions from WP:NACADEMIC: "Having published work does not, in itself, make an academic notable, no matter how many publications there are. Notability depends on the impact the work has had on the field of study."
There are hundreds of exhibitions on view across the U.S. and thousands more across the world curated by career curators working at reputable institutions who do not meet notability criteria. Critical reviews are expected and are not sufficient to justify an article for a singular curator. Otherwise, we'd need to have a page for every established curator at major institutions, which is not feasible, just like it is not feasible to have a professor page for every faculty member with a published book that was later reviewed.
Unless the specific impact and notability of this subject can be proven and explained with reliable sources, it might be a candidate for deletion. I hope this clarifies things. Let me know if you have any more questions. Ppt91 (talk) 19:43, 8 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Ppt91, Keydar is not an academic and shouldn't be judge as one, she is a curator and should be judge as such. You didn't dedicated to this entry sufficient time, I suggest you will do that. Each one of the exhibitions she curated got an extensive-deep-multiple coverage by major media outlets: The New York Times, Haaretz, Jerusalem Post Vogue, Vogue Italia, The Hollywood Reporter etc. Keydar change completely the attitude to fashion in Israel and her exhibitions attracted hundred of thousands of visitors (everything sourced). 19:52, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
@Tzahy Again, if you believe that the subject is notable, then it needs to be made evident in the article and sources need to reliably confirm those claims rather than just describe her exhibitions. As of now, it reads more like an extensive resume that could be easily written for a lot of other career curators (I can think of plenty myself). Perhaps it's a matter of cleaning up content or adding more verification of her important role in promoting Israeli fashion history. Overall, curator pages are not very well developed on Wikipedia and many have questionable notability imho, but here are two examples Andrew Bolton (curator) and Ariella Azoulay to illustrate their respective impact in the field. Dear Ppt91, each entry could be written in million different legitimate ways, I can abridge it, no problem, and write it in many different ways, but I believe I wrote it properly. I know my stuff and have a vast knowledge of art and Israeli art. I think you didn't read the entry adequately and didn't read the articles sufficiently and I suggest you will do that. Hi thanks for tagging me. I agree with Ppt91’s assessment. The notability of the subject is not clearly established and there is a lack of in-depth coverage in the best sources you cite. The ToI article doesn’t even mention her. The Hollywood Reporter piece is a passing mention and clearly shows that the inspiration and creative work behind the exhibition was done by someone else. The Vogue Italia piece quotes Keydar but provides no depth about her. I’m not really seeing anything here to distinguish her for many other early-career curators. Almost all the articles are about exhibitions she curated, they are her own creation, so they are actually about her (when there is a review of an art exhibition it's discussing the exhibition, and it's the same, when there is a review of this kind of curator that created her exhibitions from scratch, she initiated them, she invented them, they wouldn't exist without her, because they are theme exhibitions and not contemporary art exhibitions. Keydar change completely the fashion exhibitions in Israel, it was a neglected zone, and her exhibitions attracted hundreds of thousands of people and were exhibited in public museums and renowned galleries.
