Hi again. I hope you're doing well. If you find some time, could you have a look at the section I created, please? I especially mean correcting grammar, wording, spelling, and punctuation. Thank you. --Pinoczet (talk) 22:00, 31 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for the copy edit on Étienne Perier (governor). A quick question about what's generally preferred with wikilinks. You changed 10,000 [[French livre]]s
to 10,000 [[French livres]]
. Both get to the same article, French livre, but I thought it was preferable to avoid the redirect by putting the "s" outside of the link. Is there a style rule or is it a matter of preference? —Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 21:36, 9 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Tcr25 Although the MOS shows the link with the "s" outside (
[[apple]]s
), it does not expressly forbid apples which redirects to the correct article. I think I began doing this years ago when I first started out on WP after another editor went through and "corrected" what I had done. I assumed they knew better. I have found that redirects like this are not always present though. So I guess it's a matter of preference? Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:10, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks, Twofingered Typist, I think I had the opposite experience years ago where s]] was corrected to ]]s for me, so I was just curious. Thanks! —Carter (Tcr25) (talk) 13:13, 10 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
