Hello, Trut-h-urts man. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. The teams involved need to confirm the trade, which is more than likely pending physical evaluations. They have not done this yet. This is standard WP:BASEBALL practice. Trades can and have been cancelled due to the results of physicals. We wait until it becomes official. If you continue to disrupt the page you will be blocked from editing. Gordon hasn't played a single MLB out in the outfield (See the standard fielding section). Regardless of where the Mariners intend to play him, the infobox can and should reflect the position(s) he has played for the majority of his career to this point, and definitely should not include positions he has not played yet. By placing "outfielder" in the infobox, you are attempting to predict an expected future event, which violates WP:CRYSTAL (and specifically, "Avoid predicted sports team line-ups, which are inherently unverifiable and speculative.") It's for that reason that we also do not add "Seattle Mariners (2018–present)" to Gordon's infobox until he appears in a regular season game for Seattle. I don't know how I can explain this any clearer to you, so I now consider the matter closed. You know, I'm getting kind of tired of explaining this to people. Read this article. Take note of the part that says "The deal, which the team has not confirmed because it is pending a physical". If he hasn't passed a physical, the signing isn't official. Take a look at the Phillies official Twitter page. See a posting announcing the signing? Neither do I. The "MLB YouTube channel" (which you didn't provide) is irrelevant. The team announces when a signing is official. Since they haven't done that yet, it isn't official. I can resolve this battle you are having at Braden Smith. NFL.com lists what a player was listed at in college for rookies (see his college profile). Team websites on the other hand, usually will the most updated information. These editors are getting 315 from his Colts profile. Question

Hey, So I was looking at the Blue Jays and the White Sox roster and I saw two things that caught my eye Taylor Guerrieri and Thyago Viera weren't on the 40 man roster and on each teams AAA website it says they aren't on the 40 man but I have seen nothing of either player being DFA'd or outrighted. It's possible that these roster moves were made very recently and haven't been announced yet, though that seems unlikely, and I suppose it is also possible that the moves were made without announcement, but the DFA/outright assignment should still appear on the teams transactions log and they don't (Vieira was on the 25-man roster for a day in June, Guerrieri's last transaction was in March). I honestly have no idea what to do with it, but I suppose for now the reliable sources are saying the players aren't on the 40-man (in the sense that they don't say they are). Go with the official pages and hide them from the roster templates (maybe with an explanation that they aren't presently listed on the team's official roster pages). Hey, I was wondering how you can edit redirects? Specifically regarding Jasseel De La Cruz I put his into from the Atlanta Braves minor league players to the Oakland Athletics but it still redirects to Atlanta could use some help please! I've gone ahead and changed the redirect, but the way I do it is to search the page, then click the link near the top of the page under the title. So when you now search for De La Cruz, the page that comes up is the Oakland minor leaguers page. At the top it says

I click that link and it takes you to the non-redirected page, where you can edit the redirect.

Additionally, while I've "got you here", please stop describing players as "currently a free agent", as the word current is both time-sensitive and unnecessary. Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
