License tagging for Image:The pro-made ana logo.JPGThanks for uploading Image:The pro-made ana logo.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:10, 13 October 2006 (UTC) A tag has been placed on Aaron Michael Giddens, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company or website, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why Aaron Michael Giddens is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Aaron Michael Giddens. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template RedlinksThank you for your contributions to wikipedia. I noticed that in one of your recent edits you introduced one or more internal links that targeted non-existent articles. Please see Wikipedia:Only make links that are relevant to the context for more information regarding what should and shouldn't be linked in articles. Please do not link to non-existent articles unless you immediately plan to create them, or the original article requires that link for further explanation. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 21:24, 22 November 2006 (UTC) Orphaned fair use image (Image:Eric B face butt plant.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Eric B face butt plant.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 15:07, 26 November 2006 (UTC) Hello! Then you can be a responsible editor and alert the proper Wikipedia authorities to the content in order to have it assessed for removal. You will also find that Florida State law doesn't stretch too far on the Internet, local as-opposed-to global jurisdiction. Your self-belief is admirable but also lacking in supporting evidence. Fair use image usePlease do not insert fair use tagged images onto your userpage as you did here. The use of fair use images on userpages is proscribed by Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. I have placed a speedy delete tag on the above article, as it is a redirect from article space into user space. Mr Stephen 23:14, 11 December 2006 (UTC) Hi - I noticed the flag you created for your city - Image:HainesCityFlag.jpg. Unfortunately, there are two problems with it. (1) It represents original research, which is not permitted in Wikipedia articles. As such, I have removed it from Haines City, Florida. (2) It is a derivative work of the non-free (aka "fair use") seal. Please see Commons:Commons:Derivative works for a full explanation of derivative works, but the bottom line is that the copyright holder owns exclusive rights to create anything that uses their work. As such, a flag incorporating a copyrighted picture is not available under a "free" license, even though you personally created the bulk of the content of that flag. Please consider tagging Image:HainesCityFlag.jpg with {{db-author}} so that an administrator can delete it. I know that Wikipedia's image use policies can be complex and convoluted at times, but please keep in mind the goal - Wikipedia is a free-content encyclopedia and that ideal is hampered if Wikipedia is a warehouse of non-free images. RE:John CenaImages like that take up room in the template. WP:PW has a style that they use for wrestling articles, and seals like that aren't included. That's why I reverted it. Cheers, -- THLR 02:36, 12 December 2006 (UTC) Admin coaching, etc.Are you ready to get started? The waiting time over at Admin coaching is long (some people have been waiting in line since July). I'm an admin coach with the project, and for my students I set up a group discussion page so that we could all learn from each other. The scope of this concept has expanded into the Virtual classroom, which is an open forum for the teaching and learning of advanced Wikipedia skills. Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate, as a student, as a coach, or both. Every week or two a new major topic of discussion or classroom assignment is introduced, usually with a guest writer who presents his or her expertise on the current subject and who remains on hand to answer questions. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussions, such as sharing your expertise, asking and answering questions, etc. The current topic of discussion is vandalism, and our guest writer is Budgiekiller. All discussions are open-ended, so all previous discussion topics and classroom assignments are still there for viewing and further participation. There are also sections for posting miscellaneous topics and questions, requesting coaching assistance, etc. In addition to inviting those who would like to learn, I routinely invite experts from all over Wikipedia to come and contribute for the benefit of all. The VC is rapidly turning into a clearing house of the best resources, methods, and techniques known for working on Wikipedia. You are cordially invited to participate. Here's an announcement box which you can place on your userpage or at the top of your talk page for keeping up to date with classroom assignments. I hope to see you there. Comments on Jimbo's talk pageHey there. Just thought I could clear up the issue you brought up on Jimbo's page. The deletion log indicates that it was actually speedy deleted as spam by User:DGG. Even if it was contested at WP:DRV, it's not likely to be overturned, because as you mention, there's no way to source it - and we need sourcing, as per the attribution guidelines. I'd suggest asking the deleting admin for his deletion reason, and take a look through the notability guidelines to see whether the article can be written in a way that meets them. Cheers. Fair use image use, againBack in December, I thrice removed Image:Haines-city seal.PNG from your userpage [2][3][4], and you even ended up getting your userpage protected from you editing it. Some discussion about this is still on this talk page, at [5]. You agreed to stop violating policy on this matter [6]. Despite this, you added the same image back to your userpage today [7]. I'll of course give you the benefit of the doubt and assume this was simply an error on your part. I've removed it you from your userpage [8]. Please do not re-add the image, or any other fair use image, to your userpage. Thank you, --Durin 00:28, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Signature templateHi, I've noticed that you created Templates:Hornetman16Signature. You shouldn't put this into the Template: namespace; instead, it should go into a subpage of your user page, and it can be included like this: {{subst:User:Hornetman16/Signature}} for example. Note that signatures should never be included by way of templates; if you want to put it in a subpage as I have suggested, it must be subst-ed in whenever you use it. But the easiest way to have a pretty signature is to customise it in your preferences page: look for the part about a raw signature link. enochlau (talk) 04:09, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

According to Wikipedia:Userboxes, "[because of] the userbox migration, any controversial (e.g. politics) or unencyclopedic (e.g. favourite animal) userboxes should be moved to the user namespace." It would seem to me that those userboxes should stay in the user namespace. Don't worry about it, I won't make an issue about it, but I'll help you move it if you like. I think you'd be better off putting any information about the Game Sphere into the article for that episode. I tried doing a Google search (click here to see it) which got only 17 hits, and practically all of those are just plot summaries of that episode. If you can find anything more, that's great, but I don't think it's going to be possible in this case. Cheers, EliminatorJR Talk 22:33, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
