2016 GA Cup-Wrap Up
--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:26, 2 July 2016 (UTC) G1 speediesThanks for patrolling new pages, but please be careful about WP:CSD#G1 patent nonsense. That is only intended for things like "%'=#%!!!&=" or "Yaaaaaayyy LOL!!!!!!" - the definition excludes " poor writing, partisan screeds, obscene remarks, implausible theories, vandalism or hoaxes, fictional material, coherent non-English material, or poorly translated material". People who post non-English material, in particular, may be offended by having it tagged as nonsense. With Bashiir Suuley just now, putting it into Google translate showed that it was in Somali, and qualified for WP:CSD#A7. There is a useful set of bilingual templates at WP:PNT/T that you can use to point someone to his home Wikipedia (many people don't know that any other WP exists). In this case, I have used {{subst:contrib-so1}}. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:47, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

Pursuant to this discussion I've blocked User:Tomandjerry211 to prevent any future compromise, and switched the reviewer flag to your new account User:Tomandjerry311. At this stage I recommend you adjust your signature if you haven't already. I believe it would be better if you moved or copied any subpages yourself in your own time, and I will return to tackle the location of your talk page - I recommend you simply archive it in situ and start again at the new location, but I'll have a think about that after hearing any of your thoughts. Let me know if you need any further assistance. -- zzuuzz (talk) 02:14, 13 July 2016 (UTC) Quarterly Milhist Reviewing Award

--MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:38, 28 September 2016 (UTC) Virginia ConventionsI am interested in advancing Virginia Conventions up from a start class article. I've made all the contributions from sources available to me over the course of a year's study. Any further contributions, especially copy editing would be greatly appreciated, along with any comments. This process is a complete mystery to me, as I have not been able to advance Siege of Fort Pulaski or Bombardment of Cherbourg. But thanks in advance if you can offer any help at Virginia Conventions. TheVirginiaHistorian (talk) 08:34, 4 October 2016 (UTC) The Bugle: Issue CXXVI, October 2016

March Madness 2017G'day all, please be advised that throughout March 2017 the Military history Wikiproject is running its March Madness drive. This is a backlog drive that is focused on several key areas:
As with past Milhist drives, there are points awarded for working on articles in the targeted areas, with barnstars being awarded at the end for different levels of achievement. The drive is open to all Wikipedians, not just members of the Military history project, although only work on articles that fall (broadly) within the military history scope will be considered eligible. More information can be found here for those that are interested, and members can sign up as participants at that page also. The drive starts at 00:01 UTC on 1 March and runs until 23:59 UTC on 31 March 2017, so please sign up now. For the Milhist co-ordinators.
